Alexandria's pov

Freya's eyes moved back and forth between mine and the seat next to me. Obviously unsure of what she should do. "Don't worry Freya I'm not going to hurt you or anything like that, I promise you." my voice left my body without any kind of permission from me. And on top of that it sounded so soft and sincere it even startled me a bit. Her eyes immediately held mine, searching for a moment before slowly heading over to the couch. She sat down next to me never breaking eye contact and just stared for a minute before speaking again. "So are you going to tell me what happened last night?" she questioned again. I took a deep breath thinking for a moment. Unsure of were I should begin. I studied her face as I contemplated, I had never told a human I wasn't planning on killing what I am. But as I've stated something about her seemed to be drawing me in and I couldn't seem to bring myself to make up a lie. I let out a shaky breathe before asking, "What is the last thing you remember?". Her hand reflexively went to the back of her head where she had been hit the night before. "I remember leaving the club and running into three very drunk men... Men who tried too.." she couldn't seem to bring herself to finish the sentence out loud. She paused before continuing, "I remember when it was happening feeling this weird pull and then I saw you. And next thing I know I'm waking up in my bed with no memory of how I had gotten there." she breathed out. I looked at her a little shocked. I hadn't expected her to feel whatever pull I was feeling. Why I wonder? This whole thing was extraordinarily confusing to me. "What happened after I was knocked out. How did you deal with them? How did I get home? How'd you get back in my house?". Questions started pouring out of her beautiful mouth at a mile a minute. I couldn't help but smile as I watched. I reached out and held her hand so she would stop, which was a mistake. The moment our skin touched whatever connection we both seemed to feel intensified. Freya immediately stopped speaking staring at our hands with her mouth slightly ajar. "What is that?" she whispered never taking her eyes off of my hand on hers. I sighed while shaking my head, "I honestly don't know. Its new for me too." I said taking my hand off of hers. Freya sat there staring down at her hand still, with a look of amazement mixed with confusion gracing her features. "I'm going to be completely honest with you right now. Which is something I haven't done in centuries. Not with a human." I said while looking away from her. That seemed to snap her out of the daze she was in. I could feel her eyes back on me. "C-centuries, humans?" she stuttered out obviously needing me to clarify. I took in a shaky breathe before continuing. "I've been alive for a very long time Freya, I am not a human." I looked up at her as I said this. "Im what humans have deemed with the name vampire. Last night when I heard you scream I couldn't just walk away. When I found you with those men and distracted you enough to be knocked out, I killed them. The one on top of you started to try and take your clothes off while the others looked on and laughed, I couldn't help it. They didn't deserve to be alive. I brought you home after the fact using your I.D. to figure out who you were and where you lived. And as for how I got back in here, speed is a very useful attribute." I smirked at the last part, taking a breathe finally before making eye contact with her. I had spoken fast, afraid of her reaction. A look of disbelief was prominent on her face. "You really expect me to believe that you are a vampire! I mean of all the stories you could have come up with, that's the best?" she said with her voice full of irritation. "Do you think that I'm really that stupid, that I would be gullible enough to believe that! I mean seriously? Vampires!" She ranted as she stood from the couch and started to pace. Again I couldn't help but smile as I watched her flustered face. She was on the other side of the living room now and I new the best way to get her to believe me would be showing her. So before she could get out another rant I used my speed to flash infront of her in an instance. She let out a startled yelp as her hands flew to her mouth. She just stared at me unable to form words, slight fear in her eyes. The fear I saw unsettled me to no end. Again my voice softened as I looked at her, " Freya I told you I'm not going to hurt you. I swear to it, I wouldn't have saved you if I wanted anything bad to happen to you." I whispered looking down. The idea of her fearing me hurt like I never thought possible. I normally thrive off of a humans fear of me. Why does everything have to be so different with her. Why did I care what she thought of me? I was shocked when I felt a pair of hands reach for my face, wiping away tears that were silently falling down my cheeks. When had I started to cry? I stood there afraid of my reaction. Unsure of what to do. Before I could say anything Freya pulled me into her arms, hugging me tightly. "Please don't cry. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you." she whispered into my ear while rubbing my back soothingly. I was to stunned to form words, I just stood there frozen. When she pulled away she looked into my eyes with a shy smile on her face. "You know, you never told me what your name is." she stated while still holding onto my hands. I smiled at the contact while breaking eye contact "My name is Alexandria." I whispered to her while squeezing her hands slightly. "A beautiful name for a beautiful girl." she smiled while blushing and stepping into me again while staring at my lips. But before contact was ever made Freya's front door slammed open startling us both. There in the door way stood Dante, my best friend. But worse off was Jesse stood next to him with a look of pure anger on his face as his eyes landed on me and Freya. On how close we were and our entwined hands. My eyes widened at the sudden appearance as well as the loathing look on my brothers face. I pulled Freya behind me slightly meeting his gaze steadily. "Lexa what the fuck do you think you are doing." he seethed out stepping closer to us. His distaste for me shielding a human from him evident. I looked between him, and a confused looking Dante and Freya. I new this was going to be a long day.
