**There's Brooke! On the side! 1, 2, 3, or 4. I know they aren't the best if you have better ones let me know. I tried to find some quickly! So i hope you like!**

I kind of stood there for a second. I dared to take one step, and God would have it that I trip, falling flat on my face, screaming in the process.

Ashton whipped around. "Brooke!" He ran over to me. I was just laughing. "You dork, are you okay?"

"I'm fine." I said through giggles. He grabbed my arm and helped me up. He made sure I was stable on my three inch heels. I dusted off. "So what's next on the agenda?" I asked getting into the limo. Jen and Ryan were already in there, and they were making out. Gross.

He rubbed his chin in a thinking manner. "Hmm...well how about you sit back and just enjoy the ride?"

I pouted. "What's the secret?"

"There's no secret." He said laughing.

"Oh? None at all?"

"Nope." He said kissing my forehead.

"I think you're lying."

"Oh really?"

"Yep."

"And why do you think that?"

I didn't make eye contact because I don't even know if the ring was for me and it's probably not and silly to think it is. "Never mind. I don't think there's a secret."

He laughed and pulled me close to him. "There is a surprise." He whispered in my ear.

*Ashton's POV*

I was waiting outside for Brooke to get back from the bathroom. God she was beautiful tonight. I couldn't believe it.

I was kind of teetering on my feet when I stuck my hands in my pocket. I felt the little box and smiled. I pulled it out to take one last look at it before I gave it to her. It's a little crazy I know. I told my mom and Emily and they were excited, but my mom was a little hesitant because we're so young.

Her words were, "Being married is a big responsibility. Do you think you can handle it?"

That's what I like about my mom though, she lets you decide. I know we're young. It's not like we have to get married in like two months. Long engagements aren't unheard of. I know it's kind of soon, but from what I've seen and you've seen, do you really think I'm going to find someone as compatible with me as Brooke? No. So might as well seal the deal now! I'm just afraid about what she's going to say. I mean I don't want to screw up what we have or anything.

I opened the box and looked at the ring. It was definitely cheap. I mean I'm eighteen for goodness sakes, I have NO money, but I'm hoping that it's the thought that counts. I mean it's a pretty ring. It's a silver band with a diamond in the middle. Simple, but pretty. I hope she likes it. I heard her say one time that she doesn't like too much jewelry. She even said if she were to have a wedding ring she would want it small because she wouldn't be able to handle a big one, because she'd get it stuck on stuff all the time.

As I was thinking all this I heard someone scream and a thump behind me. I turned around to see Brooke face plant on the ground. You know I wonder why I even expect anyone else. Of course it's my girlfriend.

"Brooke!" I ran over and helped her up. "You dork, are you okay?"

She was just laughing.

We got in the limo and she kept trying to get me to say if there was a surprise or not. I kept denying until she pouted, I pulled her close to me and whispered, "There is a surprise."
