LYDIAS POV
"Lydia" I heard a light whisper
I looked up and saw that joe was still lying on the cold hard concrete. I had forgotten to check if he was okay, I was still in shock. I got up and ran over to him.
"Joe, what's wrong?"
I looked at his chest and saw multiple deep, large cuts. A tear escaped down my cheek.
"Joe you're going to be fine, I'm just going to call an ambulance."
He nodded and looked up at me, brushing a piece of hair out of my eyes. I looked at him for a while, trying to memorise every little thing about him. His dazzling blue eyes, his messy dark brown hair, his fascinating lips.
I called the ambulance, and when they eventually arrived, joe had his eyes closed and wouldn't respond to me. They said he had lost a lot of blood, and would do everything to help him. I held his hand the whole journey to the hospital, refusing to let go because I thought that he would feel less alone. Me and my brother were very close, he basically raised me after our parents died in a car crash. I loved him more than anything, and if I lost him I would never forgive myself.
As I sat in the waiting room, I texted Macy and Adele to tell them where I was so they wouldn't worry. I must have fallen asleep in the seat because I woke up to Macy and Adele sitting beside me, my head on Adele's lap. They hugged me and tried to comfort me while I cried and told them the story. They cautiously looked at each other when I mentioned what the wolf looked like and how I seemed to recognize it.
"What are you guys hiding from me?" I asked.
Macy talked first "Lydia. I know this is going to be hard to hear, but you have to promise me that you're not going to totally freak out."
"Okayy.. I promise" I replied warily
"Kieran, Dean, Sean and Kit aren't exactly all they seem"
My brow furrowed "then what are they?"
"Lydia, the boys are werewolves"
"Well, if you guys were trying to cheer me up then it didn't work."
I looked up at them and they seemed completely serious, almost a little angry
"Oh my god, you guys are serious?"
They both nodded. That actually made a lot of sense. The big secret that Kieran had repeatedly tried to tell me. The night that Dean had said about me being a human. Kieran being protective of me. They were werewolves.
"Wait, how does this have anything to do with the wolf that attacked Joe?" suddenly my eyes widened. One of them attacked Joe.
"Who was it?"
"Kieran"
My blood curdled at the sound of his name. I scowled and had to stand up and start walking around to try and calm myself. How could he? He attacked my brother! What kind of monster was he?
A nurse suddenly came up to me. "Are you Joe's sister?"
"Yes, how is he?"
"He is recovering well, we will just need to keep him in the hospital for a few weeks before he is able to leave."
I sighed with relief "okay, thank you very much."
She nodded and walked away. I turned back round to Macy and Adele and saw that they were talking to someone. I couldn't see who it was though. I walked over to them and saw kieran looking at me. My fingers curled in and I had nearly punched him, but Macy managed to pull me backwards. I tried to get out of her grip.
"Let me go!" I screamed at her
"Lydia, I'm so sorry" I could barely hear Kieran say it
"Sorry? You're sorry? You nearly killed him Kieran!"
"I was just jealous!"
"Why would you be jealous?"
He scoffed "You leave my house and straight after I see you with another guy, you know how that makes me feel?"
"Kieran, you're such a judgmental ass. The guy you attacked is my brother!"
His eyes widened and he lowered his head.
"Good one Kieran, maybe don't just assume things next time yeah?"
I stormed off to the toilet and sat there for what seemed like hours. I couldn't be bothered talking to anyone so I slipped out the slightly ajar window that I had managed to force open. I didn't recognise where I was so I just started walking about for a bit. Normally I would be totally freaked out being by myself in the dead of night but I just felt kind of.. invisible.
As I passed a guy I couldn't help but stare at him, he was so alarmingly unique and he instantly stood out to me. He smiled at me and I was drawn into his almost neon green eyes. Just as he was out of my sight I felt a hand wrap around my wrist. I turned round only to see the guy there.
"Hey, I know this is going to sound really weird.."
He trailed off, obviously not knowing whether to carry on or not
"Try me" I challenged
He smirked "would you maybe want to come back to mine?"
I was taken aback by his question. My eyebrows raised and my mouth had opened slightly with shock.
"Never mind it was stupid" he started to walk off
"Wait! I'd love to" I smiled. I had no idea what I was doing but it was giving me a total rush.
All of that night was a blur but eventually we ended up in bed together, completely out of breath and lying facing each other.
His luscious eyes kept roaming over my face and I felt secure with his arm wrapped around my waist. I must have fallen asleep because I woke up with just one of his baggy tshirts on. He had left a note with his number on it and saying he had gone to work but he wanted to meet up again. I smiled with glee and quickly got dressed, basically skipping down the stairs. I closed the door behind me and turned round only to see Kieran inches from me.
"Good night I take it?" he scowled
Uh oh, I'm in deep shit.
