Just Another Frantastic Monday

Chapter 1

Today is my first day of High School.

I'm honestly so nervous, but I couldn't be more excited! I've been away in New Hampshire all summer, so I haven't seen my boyfriend, Alex, or my best friend, Jenna, in 3 months!!

I woke up pretty early this morning so I had time to curl my hair and do my makeup, so it's on fleek! After doing my makeup and hair, I got up and put on some light jean shorts and a light blue shirt with lace at the top.

I go down stairs and out on a pair of white converse then went to the kitchen. When I got to the kitchen, I realized I needed to find my backpack, so I scrambled back up to my room. I check everywhere and found it under my bed.

Back in the kitchen, my mom had made waffles and cut up strawberries on the side, but I was too nervous to eat, today was such a big day, I've waited SO long.

I hear the bus coming from down the street so I rushed down to the bus stop two houses down. My mom ran after me in her robe and slippers- ugh how embarrassing!- she took my "first day" picture for facebook and I got on the bus.

When I got to the bus, my heart clenched, I felt tears swelling in my eyes and I ran to the front of the bus. I looked at the back and saw Alex and Jenna MAKING OUT IN THE BACK OF THE BUS.

Before I could walk off the bus, I felt someone pull at my wrist and I fell into the seat as the bus began to move. I looked next to me, and saw a cute boy in a Neff beanie and a TacoCat shirt with khakis. I didn't recognize him, but that could have been because I couldn't see anything through the overflowing tears in my eyes. Surprising me, he wiped my tears and say "Hey. I'm Connor Franta, I'm new here."

I swear, I recognized the name Connor Franta, but I couldn't remember where I had heard it before. I said "I'm Gabi." I sat on the bus in silence for 20 minutes as the bus drove us to school.

About 10 minutes into the drive, Connor grabbed my hand and held it, I was too upset to even notice. When we got to school I walked off the bus and Connor followed me.

He told me he had to go to the office to get his schedule so we made a plan to meet up in the library in 20 minutes. When I walked into the library and Connor was sitting alone at a round table. I walked up to him and he stood up to pull out a chair for me. He was already so sweet. We sat in the library, skipping class all day, who gives a fuck about school!

By the end of the school day, I realized that Connor totally made me forget all about my cheating boyfriend and my lying bitch of a "friend" :)

At the end of the day, We walked across the street to the grocery store and Connor called an Uber. We went to the grove where we got some snacks from Lemonade and went shopping. Right after, we got an Uber to go home, and went to my house.

I can't believe that even with how it started, I'd had such a great day.
