the lonely cub stood by the riverside, counting the number of fish he could see. he needed some time to get away from his other siblings, and his parents. "e-excuse me.." he heard a queer voice and turned around to see a feline with a discombobulated look on her face. he blushed. "oh, erm right. sorry." the cub shuffled over to one side and glanced at the other cub. she had white fur as a base coat, and grey splatters. he thought that she looked beautiful. the feline had noticed that he was staring at her, so she looked up and turned her head at him. "i er... i'm maisha." maisha blushed deeply and turned away, feeling embarrassment. "i'm dawn." he glanced back at her and she was smiling. "i-its nice to meet you." he sprouted a smile as well, and they began to walk and talk.

"i've never really liked my siblings," maisha sighed, looked down at the shadowed ground,"my sister is annoying, and my newborn baby brother gets on my nerves." dawn nodded and sat down beside him. they were by the sunset, looking out into the wide sea from on a high hill. "i have eight siblings, so i'm probably not the same. i never really get noticed by my parents, i'm the youngest." maisha nodded and smiled. "at least you're not the oldest," he chuckled, facing her.

they both sat on the hill for a while, chatting. then dawn suddenly said, "its pretty cold tonight, huh?" maisha nodded and grinned. her eyes fixed upon his shoulder. "mind if i-" maisha nodded and purred as she lay her head on his shoulder. they both sat there, watching the sun go down in the pink sky, full of unseen stars.
