Gloria rails against Eloise Dash and CBN after Sasha’s interview
“Oh, I could just kill those idiots at CBN!” Gloria cried, stalking into the room like a wild jungle cat on the prowl. “What the hell do they think they’re trying to pull?”
“It’s all right,” Thomas said calmly. He seemed to have gotten over his own anger at the situation. “It went fine.”
“No thanks to Eloise Dash! I’m so mad I could break something.” Gloria took a deep breath and picked up her tablet. “Okay, that’s enough. We don’t have time for this. There’ve been some adjustments to your schedule, so let’s go over them really fast. The Queen has canceled lunch with you, but that’s not unusual. We’ll have something brought up for you here, if that’s all right.”
I was relieved. The longer I could go without running into the Queen again, the better, and I said so to Gloria.
“Well, don’t get too comfortable just yet,” Gloria warned me. “You have a fitting this afternoon and the Queen will be attending that.”
I grimaced. “A fitting for what?”
“Your wedding dress, of course.” Gloria sighed. “I’m sorry. Sometimes I forget you’re not Juliana. It’s going to take some time for me to get used to the idea, and by then you’ll probably be gone!” She threw her hands up in exasperation. “Come on. You’re overdue for a costume change.”
