Chapter 10

Theo's POV

After we finish eating, Shai and I head back down the path we took this morning that led into the heart of the resort. In no time we would be back up in our room and getting dressed for the pool together.

Honestly nothing excited me more than to witness Shailene in a rocking bikini at this time of the year.

I didn't want to feel this way towards her, but what the heck. Sometimes you just can't help things, right?

We strut, hand in hand, down the long corridor now that would lead us back to our room. As we walked, I couldn't help but let my gaze wander around the large lobby again as we headed for the elevators. The resort was simply amazing and still so incredible to look at.

One could stand here all day really and have an outstanding time with just looking at the views here.

"Come on Theo," Shai suddenly snaps my attention back onto her, and she is smiling at me. "It's almost noon! We overslept this morning, remember?" She reminds me with a nudge to my arm and I grin knowingly. "Who could forget? We slept in the same bed, Shai." I can't help but remark, and instantly the girl's eyes widen with slight disbelief.

"Well don't announce it out loud, dude!" She whacks my chest lightly and I blink as I realize what she is saying. What was I thinking? If news on us sleeping together ever got out, we'd practically be ruined!

What would my own girlfriend say to me if she found out??

Would she even continue staying with me if she knew? Or would she just leave me?...

It wasn't something that I really wanted to know at the moment so I just nod at Shai again as we finally come upon the sleek doors of the elevators, some peaceful Hawaiian tribal music playing softly above our heads as we waited.

"Gosh Theo, it's like you can't get the fact that we 'shared' a bed together out of your head simply today." Shai whispers lowly to me next as one of the elevator doors slide open now, and I almost want to smile at her taunting remark.

"Ah, please Shai. It was no big deal really." I joke back at her, and with this, she places her hands upon her hips and throws me a look. "Seriously? Did you seriously just go there?" She tries to speak within a threatening voice but it doesn't work. She was too sweet and irritatingly cute to get anywhere near a threatening tone so I just laugh.

Once the elevator doors opens to our floor though, we immediately come face to face with some stern looking business men, their faces taut and their hands clutching things like briefcases or cellphones.

Oh Geez. I think rather solemnly.

I straighten up and lead the way off of the elevator with Shai at my side, some of the men giving me firm nods or the smallest of smiles as we past.

Once we're down our hallway more though, Shai turns to me with her large eyes and mutters, "Well I guess we can tell those apart of who are vacationing and who aren't?" She playfully comments at me and I just give a deep quick laugh.

We then come upon our door and I whip out the key within my pocket. I scan it, and within moments we're back in our room, the door being closed softly from behind me by Shai once I'm inside.

"Now listen to me Theo." The girl's voice suddenly comes from behind me now and I turn my head towards her.

"Hmm?"

She smiles and exhales slowly like she sometimes did. It was a way of telling others that she was just totally happy at the moment.

"Well, all I want to say, is that we should hurry at getting ready okay? I don't want to get down to the pool and then like an hour later be having to come back to our room so quick, you know?" She explains as she places her sunglasses down upon one of the tables next, our gazes just locking with each other.
