First Day of School

From the moment we started talking,
I knew that I wanted you around.

Ahh.... today's the start of a new school.

I am a new student to this high school going as a junior. I'm not too excited, since it takes me a while to make new friends, but I am glad I'm away from my old school starting fresh at this one.

The bell: "Rrrriiinnnnngggggg."

It was now time for class to start.

Mr. Kim: "Hello class. I'm your teacher for the year, Mr. Kim. Ohh, do we have a new student?"

He had looked at me.

Y/N: "Yes, I am new here."

Mr. Kim: "Well then why don't you introduce yourself to the class."

Y/N: "Hello. My name is Y/N. I'm excited for this year, and I hope we all become good friends."

Mr. Kim: "Thank you Y/N. You may sit down at the back left table with Jungkook and Jimin."

He continued to talked to the class as I walk toward the back left table towards two boys both very good looking. One of the boys then said...

Jimin: "Hello. I'm Jimin and this is Jungkook "

Jungkook: "Hey."

And other boy quietly said.

Y/N: "Hello. I'm Y/N. I hope we can be good friends."

Jimin: "For sure.😊"

This is year is going to be fun.

After a few hours of class it was time to go to lunch.

Jimin: "Hey Y/N?"

Y/N: "Yeah?"

Jimin: "Do you want to eat lunch with Jungkook and I? We can show you around the school if you want too. 😊"

Y/N: "Yeah sure. That's nice of you Jimin."

All three of us walk together to lunch. We had found a table to sit at, and Jimin was talking to me about his first day here and how I should not feel unwelcome here, but For some reason I wasn't paying attention to him. I was paying attention to someone else.... Jungkook! I felt as if there was tension and awkwardness between us. I suppose I should be glad to have made a few friends so easily, but if it was just me and Jungkook together, I don't think I would be as comfortable as I am with only Jimin. So, I think I will try to become Jungkook's friend too.

Once Jimin was done taking, I asked...

Y/N: "So Jungkook, do you have any hobbies?"

I cringed at my awkward tone towards him.

Jungkook: "Umm yeah, I guess."

Y/N: "Like what?"

Jungkook: "I like to play basketball."

Shortly after Jungkook spoke, Jimin said...

Jimin: "I play basketball too. We're both on the same team."

Once again, me and Jimin were left taking about him and myself leaving Jungkook silent and listening on the side.

It's not that I don't like Jimin, but it's that I think I am developing feelings for Jungkook even though I just met him. His mysterious vibe just has me curious, wanting to know more about him. I'll try to talk to him later.

After lunch, we walked back to the classroom to continue class.

Half an hour before class ends. The teacher says...

Mr. Kim: "Ok class. Today I'll be assigning a project you will be working on for the rest of the week in pairs. I will call out the partner you will be working with. Tyler with Will, Nathan with Byrn, Natalie with Anna, Jimin with Sam........... and lastly Jungkook with Y/N. Your projects will be about a mammal of your choice. You won't have any class time to work out this except for the last 15 minutes of class we have left today, and this project is due on Friday. Good luck on your projects class."

Everyone went to sit next to their partners for the last 15 minutes of class. I moved closer to Jungkook and said...

Y/N: "So Jungkook, what mammal do you want to do the project on?"

Jungkook: "Umm how about bunnies?"

Y/N: "Sure.🤗"

Cute. He kind of resembles a bunny too🐰

Jungkook: "How about we go to my house after school?"

Y/N: "Sure. Meet me by locker E127 after you pack up your stuff."

The bell: "Rrriiinnnnggggg!"

Jungkook: "Ok. See you then."

And he left to go to his locker.

Y/N: "See ya later Jungkook."

Jimin: "Bye Y/N! See you tomorrow.😜"

And also left the classroom, waving as he left.

Y/N: "Bye Jimin."

And I also waved back.

I think I'll like this school.
