Prince Leon became king. He was sitting in his throne, thinking about improving the economy and welfare of Aufilia. Then he looked at his queen...
Tap tap tap. Noel awoke from the loud tapping. He still had his headache but not much worse like before.
Tap tap tap. The loud tapping was coming from the door. He stood up and opened the door, only to see Ruben squawking at him and flew in to his sleeping quarters.
"Ruben... why did you interrupted my sleep... Where's Alice?" Noel said while rubbing his eyes.
Ruben took Noel's clothes by the hem with his bill, and he pulled him out of the room.
"H-hey! Ruben! What's the big deal?" Suddenly, he had a bad feeling. He thought of Alice and went up to the deck with his pole axe in hand. He saw three men dressed in black, and one of them had Alice.
"Hey! You let go of her, right now!" Noel said angrily.
The one who was holding Alice gave a smirk and with one look, he ordered the two to get rid of Noel.
The two men brought out their swords, while Noel readied himself. He charged in, thrusting his pole axe at one of them, only scratching the arm as they dodged. Noel faced the man nearest to him at his left. The man slashed his sword at him, Noel dodged. Noel swung his pole axe at his feet, bringing the man down to the ground.
The other man in black tried to do a sneak attack at him, but Ruben dove in to stop him, by pecking at his head. The man yelped, making Noel look behind. Noel kicked the man in black to the stomach, and with the back of the axe head, he hit the man's head.
Noel looked behind him again, and he saw that the other guy was back on his feet, raising his sword. Noel parried with his pole axe, with the sword's blade nearly touching his forehead. Noel kicked him below the belt, making the man in black drop is sword. Noel then hit his head too and went unconscious.
All that's left was the man that got Alice.
"Let her go now, or I'll do something worse to you than these two goons." Noel said. He was exceptionally angry for some reason. Alice could see it in his green eyes.
The man didn't say a word and he quickly took out a potion. Alice recognized that it's the teleportation portal. She pushed the man against the rails of the boat, making the potion fly away from his hand and dropped in to the ocean.
Alice then hit the man's nose with the back of her head, and she broke free, and ran to Noel's side.
Ruben came with Alice's magic bow in his talons and dropped it to her. She then conjured a water arrow and aimed it at his head.
"Who are you? How did you find me here?" Alice said.
"Hmph, the name's Troy but who am I isn't important... Right now, capturing you is my priority." Troy said. Alice soon realized that it's not the same man who killed her father. His hair was far from silver, it's dark brown. His skin was dark too, with tattoos all over his arm. There's probably more tattoos underneath his black clothes. The build of his body was above average and he was quite tall. He walked a few steps closer to them, and Noel shielded Alice.
"Who sent you to get me?" Alice's voice was slightly shaking. "Was it... Was it the silver haired man?"
"You could say that... But he's not really our boss." Troy said.
"What happened to the sailors here? The captain?" Noel asked.
"Oh, we just... Gave them a nap, that's all." Troy gave a small wicked smile.
