Isolation

Blue.

The first thing I see when I wake is the bright blue sky that lies above me while I sleep on the now dying grass. I look over to my right I see the tree that is shading me from the sun. To my left is a field of grass that continues on endlessly.

I look back at the sky. Why am I here? Is my purpose to be isolated like this? I wish this had never happened to me.

I don't understand what I did to deserve this. What I did that made me this way. I used to have a family, friends, a life. Now I have nothing. All the happy memories I've ever had have been washed away by the water wheel of time.

A gust of wind washed over me as I began to stand. I looked back at the tree. "Thank you." I said. I walked on through the field of grass. It seemed like lifetimes before I reached some sort of sign of people.

A dirt path. It lead right and left. I had no idea where either side lead but I felt like going left. I continued for about an hour. The grass flowing in the wind. The sound of the ground beneath my feet made me feel alive again.

Then I was suddenly stopped, when I came to the top of a hill. At the bottom of the hill was a man. He seemed to have an unusual interest with the girl he was "walking" with. From what I could see, he was rather harassing her then talking.

"Hey pretty lady!", He called out.

He started to grab her in places not named. She screams and I realize that I need to do something. I run down the hill. I cast a spell and I look at the girl. "Thank you." She said.

Suddenly she started screaming. I looked at my feet and noticed tears coming from my eyes. Why does this always happen? When ever I try I end up failing.

I looked up and saw her body lying, dead, on the ground.

Sigh

Why?
