I slipped off my shoes and snuck down the hallway and silently watched Rick from behind his chair. Rick studied one of my books in his hands. He began to read the back then flipped to the first page. I let him read somewhat before I started to run my fingers through his hair. It's not just me that knows Rick is always tense, everyone sees it so with the little extra time him and I had, I wanted him to know it was okay to relax. It seemed as if he didn't want to give up the book. I tugged slightly harder and he finally dropped the book to his lap. He let his head drop back and quietly sighed. His content expression made me happy because he's so uptight it's nice to see.

I leaned down and gently kissed his forehead, then his nose and hovered just over his lips. He parted his own ever so slightly and I could feel his breath on my face. "Kiss me, Rick Grimes." I whispered. Maybe it was just me being selfish and wanting attention, his attention, but my breath hitched when he stood from his seat and rounded to me. His hands firmly on the sides of my face as he kissed me. I didn't intend for it to... escalate, exactly. He took that into his own hands as he pressed me against the wall. I couldn't argue though. I returned it when I knew I probably shouldn't have but I pulled him against me by his belt loop.

He certainly took control when he left my lips for my neck. Something in my mind clicked as soon as he gripped my hips and put me back into place against the wall. This would help him with his stress. I thought plainly, letting him mark me. I placed a hand on the back of his neck and slowly rubbed, encouraging him. I kept the other hand loosely on his belt loop but tight enough to hold him to me. "You could just go on your trip tomorrow." I barely got out before he bit my collar bone. I let out a tiny, satisfied response. I pulled him back to my lips and mumbled something about staying to him as I loosened the buttons on his shirt. His hands halfway up mine when he jerked back at Daryl pounding his fist on the door.

"We ain't got time fr' that shit." He said walking down the steps. I instantly started to pout and reached out for him. If anything I felt like a child begging him to stay. I was being selfish but right now I didn't care. "Stay," I said "Rick." I took his hand and tried pulling him to the stairs.

"I have to go."

"No. Stay with me, please." I drug out my half sentence.

"Babe, I want too, really, but I need to go." He was firm  with his feet and didn't move. I groaned over the stair railing and looked at him. I stared at him, puppy eyes and all yet he wouldn't stay. He half smiled walk up to me standing on his toes. He kissed me and said "I'm really glad I met you." I smiled at him and melted.

"I love you, Rick."

"I love you, too." I squinted and stood looking at him.

"Then what's my favorite color?" He cocked his head to me and folded his arms.

"Pastel Red," I crossed my arms and huffed.

"You know nothin', Jon Snow." I stomped up the stairs and heard him yell.

"Stop being such a nerd, Amy!" I flopped onto my bed and smiled. I do love him so much. "I love you!" I answered and he returned the same with a goodbye.

It was getting dark and I had worried myself sick. It's normal for him to be out late but I'm usually with him. This time it had just been Daryl and him. They left to get supplies because we were running low. I sat on the couch staring out the bay window when I remembered Rick gave me the OK to see Nick whenever now. I walked over to the clinic where he was still being held. Even I could vouch for that but not the restraints.

I knocked and let myself in. Nick looked better. He had regular clothes on and his face was slowly filling out. "Am, will you please tell that lady I'm still hungry." He laid on his back sprawled out on his bed.

"We don't have much. You'll have to wait. Sorry." I lied next to him. He sighed and looked over at me with his doe eyes and let out the most dramatic sigh. I laughed and shook my head. "Where'd your boyfriend run off too?"

"To get more food." I answered.

"Awe. Don't be sad your eye candy will be back soon. Until then, you have me." He locked our fingers.

"He's more than that. Much more, Nick." I smiled at my old friend. "Just let him get to know you. It'll get better."

"He's a dick." Nick suttered.

"He saved me. When I met him at that tree line he took me in. He didn't like me when we first met and wanted me to leave. Give him a chance, please."

"So he can be my boyfriend too? Oh I can't wait." He retorted staring at the ceiling. I got up and sighed.

"Listen, I put my reputation out for you. I vouched for your safety and health and this is how you want to repay me? I shouldn't have come here." I walked out back to home. Now it was pitch black and Rick still wasn't back. I turned to the sound of a knock at a door and was relieved to see to figures I knew to be Rick and Daryl standing on a porch. My smile dropped when the light flipped on and I saw them holding another man unconscious.
