Chapter 1: Oreos are a problem.

Nadia's POV

I was currently working out in our basement we've turned into a gym, I liked to keep my body toned but I wasn't really the atlehtic type when it came to sports. I'm at a height of 5'8". My waist area was fairly small, and so was my Mom's, but I was a little more thick in the thigh area.

My Mum says that's what I get for eating vanilla Oreos almost everyday, but I couldn't help it, THEY'RE SOOOO GOOODDDD!!!

I have long black hair that's pretty straight, and ends at the top of my butt. My skin was a nice dark tanish color and I've never ever had acne before, again, another perk I got from my Mom.

I guess you could say I was fairly pretty but I couldn't really see it, to me I was average, and that's perfectly fine with me.

On to my parents Melana and Ravi Sidana. My Mom was basically my twin, and we look exactly alike. Unless you count the fact that I'm taller, i got the height from my Dad, and that my Mom has shorter hair. My Mom was 5'5" and her hair ended at the middle of her back, due to her weekly trims.

I personally like my hair long and get a trim at the end of every month. When I was 10, my Mom took me to the salon to "trim" my hair...or so I THOUGHT. The next thing I knew is that my hair is to my shoulder and I look like Dora. I cried every day for a week.

On to my Dad, Ravi Sidana. He's a famous business man and owns hotels all over America. Don't ask me how an immigrant managed to do that when he got here, but he did. My Dad stands at 6'2" with wavy black hair and a good build. You wouldn't believe he was 42.

I walked upstairs to where the living room met the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water. My Dad was at work and my Mom was sleeping, she worked as a nurse practitioner on Monday through Friday and was off on weekends. Since it was Saturday, she took her time to sleep in.

After I finished my water, I went upstairs to my room where I took off my workout clothes, a Nike sports bra and leggings. I went into my bathroom, which connected to my room, and took a nice, hot shower. After I got out of the shower, it was one in the afternoon. Hmmm, a 20 minute shower, definitely not my longest, I thought to myself.

I lotioned my body and put on a white crop top and light washed shorts since it was fairly hot in Atlanta. My Mom bought me the crop top and my dad doesn't know I have it. He's at work sooooo...perfect opportunity to wear it am I right?

I brushed through my long dark hair and put on some mascara and lip gloss. Since it was 78° outside, with a nice breeze, I thought it would be the perfect day to take a walk. By the time I finished grabbing my purse and phone, it was 1:35pm. Not bad timing, I said to myself. I entered the kitchen again to see my mom already up. She was cooking curry chicken with rice. Mmmmm, I absolutely LOVE spicy food.

I walk up to my mom and kiss her on the cheek. "Morning mum, or should I say after noon?" I joked.

"Ughhh, you know what my job is. I wish I could sleep more but I know I had to cook lunch or your lazy self would eat oreos and milk again, which I know you ate this morning." She rambled quickly.

"Mum you kno-"

"You really need to stop eating that junk." She cut me off, " Your already big in the thighs, one more oreo and you'll pop!" When my Mom talks fast, her Indian accent gets thicker.

"Mum you know I exercise almost everyday, let me enjoy my Oreos while I'm young please and thank you." I said.

"Young or not that stuff is bad for your health. I'm 38 and still as skinny as ever. You have my waist but thick thighs, oh god why do you not have my thighs, oh god oh god..." She said with her accent as thick as ever. It's not that my Mom wants me to be skinny, she just cares about my health and is using my thighs as a reason to make me stop.

But nothing, and I mean NOTHING is going to take Oreos away from me. I'm sure she knows that by now, she's just hoping that I'll quit eating it. Yeah right, maybe in the next life...if there is one.

"Yeah mum, I'll be back in an hour. I'm taking a walk and then I'll stop at Starbucks for a drink!" I yelled already at the door. I listened for a response but instead I heard...

"What's with the Oreos? I swear it's all that child ever eats, Nadia will be the death of me. Oh god I'm still young, I can't die but that child will kill me. Oh god oh god..."

I guess she didn't here me. I thought to my self. I'll just text her when I'm at Starbucks. Mental note to self: stash all Oreos under my bed until further notice....
