Name suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I couldn't think of anything that wasn't massively cheesy :P ~Roz
'Jack, could you come here a minute? I think there's something you should see.'
Jack walked into North's office to find him staring at his globe, puzzled.
'What's up?' Jack asked as he walked towards the globe.
'Look.' North pointed at one of the lights, glowing blue instead of red.
'What does it mean?'
'It means that you have a new child to take care of.'
'Me? Why me?'
With a flick of North's hand, the image on the globe changed. A four poster bed, surrounded by ice. A small girl was curled under the covers, her white hair flowing over the dark blankets. Her gloved hands were clenched tightly around the corner of the pillow. Her eyes were shut, but Jack could see that she was crying.
'This is Elsa. She has a gift like yours Jack. That is why she needs your help. You need to teach her to control it, to embrace it.' Jack nodded, running out of the room. He didn't understand why it upset her so much, but he knew that if a child needed his help, he would be there.

'Elsa?' Elsa was sat against her door, crying, when Jack arrived. She looked up to see him at her window, her eyes widening in surprise.
'Who are you?'
'Why Jack Frost, duh.'
'Jack...Frost?' He jumped into the room.
'I can bring the winter, just like you!' Elsa gasped, backing against the door.
'How did you know?!'
'A little bird told me. That's why I'm here, I'm going to help you!'
'No one can help me.' She folded her arms, looking down. Jack sat beside her.
'Sure I can!' He tried to move closer but she stood up, looking alarmed.
'Don't touch me.'
'I...why not?'
'I'm... I... I might hurt you.'
'How?'
'I might put ice...in your heart...'
'My heart IS ice, I'll be fine!' He got up and knelt beside her, slipping one glove off. He put her hand on his chest.
'See, nothing happened. I told you, I can do what you can do, watch this!' He flicked his staff and suddenly a bird, made entirely of ice, was flying around Elsa's room. She gazed up in astonishment, before beginning to smile. Jack smiled widely as the bird flew into her arms. She cradled it in her hands. Elsa hadn't been able to hold anything living for a long time, not even her sister.
'You can do this too, Elsa. Can't you see, this power of yours, it can be amazing if you let it. I have to go now, but I promise you, I'll be back very soon.' Elsa nodded as Jack moved to the window. He grinned cheekily. ‘See you soon!’ He jumped out of the window.

Jack Frost visited Elsa once a week. He took her into the mountains, where they’d practice together for hours and hours, until it got dark.
One night, many years after his first visit, they finished early. Elsa collapsed in the snow just as the sun was going down. Jack sat next to her, watching her smiling. He’d only just realised how grown up she’d gotten.
‘Elsa, how old are you now?’
‘I’m eighteen, why?’
‘Oh. Me too.’
‘You’ve been visiting me for like twelve years, that can’t be true.’
‘Okay fine, I’ve been eighteen for a long time, but I’ve not celebrated a birthday since I became Jack Frost, so technically I’m still eighteen.’ Elsa laughed, looking forwards at the sunset. Jack hesitated before speaking again.
‘Elsa...you’re so beautiful, you know that? It’s a shame that you lock yourself away like that.’
‘You know I can’t be around people, Jack.’ Despite all of their training, she’d never been able to control her powers for long. ‘But I have to be soon...’
‘Why? That’s great, you can get out, see the world!’
‘No, it’s not great, there’s something you don’t know. When my parents died, they left the kingdom without a ruler. As the eldest, I’m the heir to the throne. I’m of age now, my coronation is next week and there’s nothing I can do besides killing myself that will stop that. Then again, would it be so bad.’ Jack grabbed her shoulders abruptly then, making her gasp. He turned her towards him and stared at her, speaking pointedly.
‘If you left, I wouldn’t have anyone. You are not leaving me because of some stupid coronation, ok? You’re going to get through it and be the best damn queen the world has ever heard of. I’ll be right there waiting in your room when you get back if you want me to.’ His tone softened as he loosened his grip on her shoulders.
‘I want you to be there...’
‘You know I can’t be. Elsa?’
‘Yeah?’
‘I have to tell you something. You’re an adult now, which means that one day soon… you might not be able to see me anymore. I was created to be a guardian to children, adults can’t see me, that includes you, I think.’
‘But...’
‘I know, Elsa, listen to me. You are going to be an amazing woman, I know it. I’ll always be with you, and I know you’ll do me proud.’
‘I can’t lose you too...’ Tears formed in her eyes. She blinked them out, letting them roll down her face. As she looked up she saw that Jack’s hands and feet were gone. ‘Your hands and feet…’ She said.
‘Are they disappearing Elsa?’ She nodded, still crying as his legs and arms started disappearing quicker. She wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him. She shut her eyes as they kissed, opening them to find that she could no longer see him, although she could still feel his arms around her.
‘I love you, Elsa.’ He whispered as he let go of her.
‘I love you too.’ She said, weeping. That was the last time she saw her Jack Frost.
Her coronation day came around, and she finally manage to stop her crying. As she sat on her throne she could hear a little boy in the crowd.
‘Look mummy, Jack Frost!’
‘Where darling?’
‘Behind Queen Elsa, can’t you see!’
She smiled.
‘Hi Jack.’ She whispered.
‘Hi Else.’ She could feel arms around her, lips against her cheek.
‘You came back.’
‘I never left.’
