It was 1:30am and I was drunk. However, I went ahead and ordered one last martini since last call was coming and I'd been drinking some water already so it wouldn't hit me so hard. I had to go to the restroom so I told Garrett, "hey, save my seat, gotta go to the back room." "No problem, I'll be here," he said.
I walked to the restroom and surprisingly didn't trip or walk erratically. I was holding my own. I was proud of myself. Then reality set in, "I can't drive back home like this!", I said to myself. So at that point I decided I'd get a hotel room and get a driver to drive my car back to the hotel. I freshened up and walked back to the bar. I happened to notice a new body by Garrett. It was definitely a guy. He was wearing a hat. I got back on my stool and told Garrett, "thanks man." He looked at me and said, "Hey I was watching you and I'm surprised you walked like you haven't drank shit." I laughed and said, "We're both surprised about that. I just came to realization that I definitely can't drive back to Ventura County like this. I'm gonna have to get a room somewhere. Where's a nice place to stay at that's close?" "Yeah you definitely shouldn't drive. The London is cool. But their rooms are probably like $500 since it's Friday," he said. "Hey, let me introduce you to my friend Johnny here," he said. I looked up and couldn't believe I was looking at the one and only "Johnny Depp". I must've been really drunk to care or something because I said, "Hi, I'm Victoria. Nice to meet you." He looked at me with a smile and his eyes brightened up when our eyes met. "Nice to meet you Victoria. Johnny...," he said while maintaining his eyes on mine. I had large brown eyes just as he did. I guess you could say he met his match when it came to the strong eye game. But once again, I'm drunk. He asked, "Where do you live?" I answered easily and said, "Ventura County." "Wow that's quite the drive. What brought you out here?", he asked. Garrett decided to excuse himself to go to the restroom. He must've taken the hint from Johnny. "Well I wanted a new environment for the night," I said smiling. He decided to take Garrett's seat and observed my drink and asked, "Apple-tini huh?" "How observant of you!", I said laughing. He was quite shy and looked down as I said that. "Hey! I wasn't poking fun at you. I'm drunk. I don't have a filter when I'm drunk." I said reassuring him.
He looked over at my hands and said, "you have lovely hands." I felt myself blush and heat startedto radiate me. Could it had been the "depp-effect" or just me being incredibly hammered? However, the reality that I was talking to Johnny Depp had yet to really set in. I was talking to him like he was anybody else. Maybe that was a good thing. It was now 2am. The bar's lights flashed on/off a fewtimes. Garrett looked at Johnny and I and said, "So we getting out of here?" "I guess I am, nothing is open and I guess that means it's time for me to go getthat room," I said looking around and seeing everyone leaving. "Where are you staying?" asked Johnny. I looked at Garrett and said, "Well, Garrsaid the London is close by. I just don't want to leave my car here." Johnny looked at Garrett and said, "Can you drive her or should I take her and you drive her car there?" "But hey, what about Garr's car?" Iasked. "Oh honey, I walked here. I liveclose by," said Garrett. Johnny asked,"Do you want me to give you a ride, I have a driver waiting. Plus, I can show you the place if you're unfamiliar with it?" I looked over at Garrett and said, "I guess you boys win." I reached into my pocket and got my key fob as we walked into the parking lot. I pushed the open button and the car's alarm beeped and the headlights flashed on.
"That's my car, be careful please and I'm only letting you drive it because it's a short distance and you know your wayaround here," I said. Johnny led me tothe Escalade waiting for him and told the driver, "To the London, please." There I was with Johnny Depp by my side. Four hours ago I didn't even think about going out and now I'm next to one of the sexiest guys, according to People magazine. I was smitten for bit. But I was still very drunk. It seemed like seconds went by and we finally arrived at the entrance to the hotel.Valet attendant opened the door and Johnny got out and then held out his hand to guide me out. His driver wentand parked at an available space and waited. I looked back as Johnny and I entered the lobby and saw my car gettingparked. That made me smile because that was my safe place to me. As long as Ihad my car when I needed it, I was happy. But for now, I needed a room. I saw Garrett come up to the lobby behind us with my purse and said, "hey, you need this?" I smiled because I had completely forgotten about it. Johnny sat me down in the lobby chair. I guess I was starting to slur my speech or something. Couldn't remember much. In no time, Garrett said bye to Johnny and handed my car key to him. Garrett came to where I was sitting and said, "Hey darling, your car is parked safely. Nothing is gonna happen to it. Here's my number for whenever you want to party again or come back into town." He kissed my forehead and left. Johnny came to where I was and said, "come on, I'll take you to your room to make sure you're safe."
I looked up at him and said, "Oh you don't have to, but I appreciate it...thank you Johnny." He grinned as sexy as he possibly could. I swear no other guy could pull off the grin. I've tried pulling off the grin at guys and it doesn't work. LOL Anyways, we got in the elevator and he pushed the 8 button. He looked at me and said, "hey how are you feeling? Are you sleepy or what?" I looked at him and said, "I'm not really sleepy, I've just had a lot to drink." He laughed and said, "So...do you wanna stay up for a bit and party in your room?" I really didn't know what he meant by that but I just said, "sure." I couldn't refuse to party with Depp. I wasn't THAT wasted. The room was at the end of the hallway and I was tired of walking. My boots were wearing on me. Finally, he opened the door and I was in shock. I was expecting a basic room but he got a suite. Either that or this is why they charge $500 a night. Hey wait, I didn't give my credit card to anyone. Was Johnny paying for this? I looked around and there was a wet bar and mini bar with snacks and other amenities. "Wait, Johnny are you paying for this?", I asked still in awe at my surroundings. The room was basically the size of the house I grew up in, but one story. Everything was white and luxurious. He looked at the look on my face and said while smiling, "Um yeah. Are you okay?" After walking around the place, I finally found the bedroom and jumped on the bed like a child. Damn the bed was comfortable! He came to where I was and said, "someone's happy. What else can you do for me?" I started jumping and did a flip and hit my head on the wall. "Ow!", I yelled but laughed. He started laughing so hard. "I could use a drink now," I said. He went to the main room and made us some drinks.
I took off my jacket and went to the main room and sat on the couch. "What do you got for me?", I asked. He brought over the drinks and sat on the opposite couch. He said, "some vodka and cranberry. You're obviously a vodka drinker, right?" I smiled and took the drink from him and said, "Oh yeah."
"So tell me about yourself Miss Victoria? What do you do, where you from, what's on your mind right now?", he asked.
I took a long sip from my drink, looked at him, and said, "Well, you know I'm from Ventura County." He took a sip of his rum/coke and asked, "And how do you like it out there?" "Well I grew up there. It's home. Heaven and hell are only a block apart." He giggled a bit and said, "Sounds like L.A." "I think L.A. could get me in a lot more trouble though," I said taking another long sip. He grinned and said, "Definitely."
