Oh gods up above, give us your power,
The power that will defeat this evil that currently haunts us,
Give us a man with the power of a god,
Give us a man that fights back the evil,
Give us a man that will never betray us,
Give us a man that will carry the burden,
Give us a warrior, and he shall be called,
, harbinger.

The people of Jouta village at the time of the writing of this plead to the gods, was being attacked by the imperial and Ghoda armies. This view divided the continent into three. (4/8) the continent was controlled by the Imperial unity, who wanted to unite the continent under a government ruled by a court chosen by the people. (3/8) the continent was controlled by the Ghoda empire, who rose to power to combat the Imperial because they didn't want to become one nation, there government was a monarchy that was ruled by one figure with the power of the nation at their fingers. The last (1/8) of the continent was the last of the villages that chose to stay independent and keep to themselves. Their part of the continent was surrounded by an impenetrable mountain range that's only entrance is a valley that's blocked by a village. This is were the writings came from, the gate way village of Jouta at the first battle of the pass. After the battle, the harbinger erected a large marble dome building infront of the village and stays in it until it's needed again.

Village folklore describes a being that came from the heavens that pushed back both armies, giving the village a tool to defend the pass. The figure was described to wear a black robe and carry a white staff, height was around 6 feet, and had a deep voice only describe as the voice of death. That battle was over 200 years ago, and even though both nations have been going in and out of war, little progress is made. Only three other battles have been fought to go through the pass, all ending in total defeat as the harbinger fends off the hordes of men.

But every year without a battle, the harbinger comes out to wander the village, at first it was alright, but after a few years he started to kill people without consent. So the villagers forged a blade blessed by the God as a weapon to combat or scare the harbinger into leaving the village alone. Every year around the same time, the harbinger would come out and be met by the one chosen to wield the blade and stop the harbinger from advancing towards the village. It's worked for 200 years, but the bond between humans and God have dissolved to almost nothing, and the harbinger is no longer bound to the land he protects.

The curse is broken, so what's he to do now, wander the lands torn by war to find a purpose. Find something worth protecting. Find another village to protect, or conquer the world. Only in time will everything become clear, because time's the only thing he has.

(Comment and stuff, I'll do what I feel like, and the story only goes how I want it to go.)
