"... Never heard of him."
My English teacher frowned at me. "Really? He's in your class, he sits in fro-"
She was interrupted by the second bell; fourth period has officially started. She sighed and opened her second desk drawer, pulling out a piece of paper. She starts writing me a pass.
"Nevermind that now. I'll have you meet him tomorrow. Visit me before school tomorrow morning at 7:45. Then we can discuss the project more." Mrs. Costa holds out the pass with a slightly sad smile. "Good luck. Now, go. Quickly, before you miss more of fourth period!"
I took the piece of paper and gave a polite nod. "Thank you, Mrs. C."
I quickly grabbed my stuff from my desk and made my way to Algebra class.
~*~*~*~
"Hey, guys."
I was greeted with a chorus of 'hi's, 'hello's, and even a 'yo' (Saeyoung ofc) as I sat at my lunch table.
SKY Academy isn't very large. There are about 500 kids in all, so everyone is able to eat lunch together, regardless of what grade we're in.
I sit with the RFA every day. It's a club I'm in; we focus on school events, mainly parties and dances. I'm in charge of finding sponsors for the school dances. We also host parties that aren't affiliated with school, so I have to pick out the guests for those parties, as well. The founder of the club was Rika, but she left after her sophomore year. She and V were the founders of the club as freshmen (I know she isn't the same age as V, but for convenience she is now). V is still dating her, even though she no longer goes to school here.
Surprisingly, everyone is here, including V. He isn't around much, so it's always exciting when he shows up. He's very mysterious. I haven't been in the RFA long enough to know anything about him, really, just that he is still dating Rika. I've only been here since the start of this current school year this past September, so I'm hoping I can get clued in eventually.
I ended up sitting in between Jaehee, the only other girl in the RFA and my closest friend out of all of them, and Zen, her idol. I feel kinda bad splitting them up, since I know Jaehee has a crush on him. He's a theater nerd, and always gets the leads in the school plays. You can bet your ass Jaehee will be at every show. She's very supportive. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to get the memo. She cares for all of us, but in doing that and juggling her schoolwork and her work for Jumin, she usually forgets to care for herself.
"Hello, (Y/n)!" Jaehee says with a smile. I turn to my left to look at her and return her grin.
"Hey, Jaehee! How's your day going so far?"
She sighs and hides her face in her hands. "I'm stressed out. I have 3 tests tomorrow and homework in almost every class. PLUS I have to help Mr. Han with work after school."
I gaze up at Jumin with an eyebrow raised in question. He was diagonally from Jaehee, next to V. "You hear all of that?"
"Yes, I did. Hello to you too, by the way."
I sigh. "And I suppose you won't lighten her workload even though you know she is struggling?"
"Struggling is a part of life."
I shake my head and turn back to Jaehee. "I'm sorry, Jaehee. Is there anything I can do to help?"
She looks back up and smiles at me a little. "Thanks, (Y/n), but I'm alright. I can handle it."
