Prolouge (Pt. 1)

Jane's P.o.v.
My parents and I had just watched a horrid violin performance. The music wasn't bad, I was just terrified of the sounds.

My parent comforted me as we made our way to the car. I always wanted to be like them when I grow up, strong, fearless.

Suddenly a man came up to us with a gun. My dad tried to get him to calm down, but he shot both my mom and dad.

I watched as my mom's favorite pearl necklace fell apart and, pearl by pearl, fell into a sewer.

My mom always wore that necklace. My great-great-great-great-great-grandfather used this instead of a ring to propose to my great-great-great-great-great-grandmother. She wore it at her wedding, so did everyone after that. One day I was supposed to wear it.

But now it's gone.

Present day

I sat and stared at my suit. It was skin tight, but still loose enough to fight in, mostly dark grey, but there was a black bat on it. I also wore a black cape and mask that goes from my nose all the way back to my cape

When I was 8, I had a fear of bats. Kind of silly, considering now I am one.

"Master Jane, dinner is ready." My butler, and friend, Jim Hopper said.

I silently walked upstairs, out of my bat cave and into the dining room. Sitting down, Hopper set down my plate.

"Thank you, Hopper." I said, smiling.

"Your welcome, Master Jane." I've tried to get him to just call me Jane, but if Hopper is one thing he's stubborn.

I heard Lucas and Dustin bickering upstairs, while Will and Max trying to get them to stop. It was getting louder, which meant that they're coming downstairs.

I stood up and gave them my 'bat glare' which made them all shut up.

We all ate dinner in silence, and then went out to fight crime.
