Chapter 1-only 2 more days

I awoke to the loud sounds from my alarm, ringing in my ears, signalling it was time for me to get up. I effortlessly reached my arm over to the table where my alarm clock sat ringing and clicked the snooze button. My eyes started to wonder as I tried not to fall back to sleep, then they spotted the time. I had to get up for school. 'Maybe I could pretend to be sick again' I thought to myself. But then I realised I've already used that excuse too often, my dad won't buy it this time. I had to go to school. 'Only 2 more days left, you can do it'.I ripped the covers off me, revealing my green pajama top and my black lace bottoms, and dragged myself out of bed.

I slowly walked into my bathroom, still half asleep, to go brush my teeth and wash my face. I tried to avoid looking in the mirror as much as I could but a quick glance whilst brushing my teeth was enough to start me crying. A pale round face with a blood shot purple swollen eye and a swollen busted lip stared back at me. It sent shivers down my spine. I tired not to think about them whilst I tired extra hard to cover them with concealer and was careful as I covered it with my powder. I was quite proud of myself if I was honest as you couldn't really tell. I then moved onto my lip. My lip wasn't really bad it was just a little swollen- nothing compared to my eye. After I was all done cleaning myself up I started on my hair. My hair was thrown up into a high pony tail the night before however it was knotty and half of it was down now. I grabbed my brush and dragged it through the knots until it was all smooth. 'Shit, I'm going to be late'. I rushed back into my bedroom and threw on my faded school polo, my tights shirt and my black and blue school tie. I checked the mirror as I was walking out of my bedroom when I realised the blood stain on my polo collar. I collapsed onto the floor in a state of tears...
