The next day, Keenan barely got out of the bed. He was up playing on Xbox live with Derrick 'til late last night. It was great that Keenan had already made a friend, but was hoping it wouldn't be the only one he'd make. His thoughts then drifted to Sarah, she seemed chill and friendly. Brianna kind of scared him with how friendly she was yesterday. He already had enough females up under him at his old school, he didn't need anymore. "Keenan!" His mom yelled. "I'm getting in the shower, ma!" Keenan yelled back as he went to the bathroom, he hoped his momma didn't do that every day. After his shower, Keenan went to his closet to find clothes. Keenan's phone began to ring and he went to pick it up. "Yo, Keenan. You ready?" Derrick asked as Keenan pulled clothes out of his closet. "Not yet, why?" Keenan asked, even though he had an idea why. "Send me ya address, be there in 20." Derrick said hanging up the phone. Yesterday afterschool Keenan's car wouldn't start and Derrick had to give him a boost. The next time Man Man said he had a car for Keenan, he was just going to decline. Keenan tossed his phone on his bed and went to put on his clothes. Once Keenan went downstairs, his mom was already eating. "Don't wait for me? That's cold." Keenan said grabbing a plate. "You was taking too long." His mom said, putting her plate in the sink. "Since you did the dishes last night, I'll do them when I get home." She said. A honk sounded and Angela looked to Keenan. "Already got one of them fast ass females giving you rides?" She asked. "First off, that's my friend Derrick. Second, the school you put me in is all white. Non of them are fast when it comes to me, they'd probably forfeit the race when they see me." Keenan said putting his plate in the sink and kissing his mother on the cheek. "Well nice to know you made a friend, white or black?" She asked grabbing her coat. "He's black if you must know, we have Biology 2 together." Keenan said as Angela nodded. "Love you momma, see you later." Keenan said as they both headed out. Keenan got into Derrick's truck and Derrick was hard core staring at Keenan's mom. "Is that your sister or sum?" Derrick asked. "Hell nah, that's my momma and stop lookin' at her like that." Keenan said closing the door. "Damn, yo momma fine." Derrick said pulling out of the driveway. "Did Brianna text you?" Derrick asked Keenan. "No, why?" Keenan asked. "She asked for your number last night, scratch that, she kinda begged for your number." Derrick laughed as Keenan shook his head. "Maybe it was for someone else." Keenan said. "It was for Bri, trust me, I know her." Derrick said as T-Shirt by Migos came on. "Yo, turn this up!" Keenan said as Derrick turned the volume up. "We gon have to turn this down when we pull up in Sarah's neighborhood." Derrick said. "Why?" Keenan questioned. "All white and don't like rap. Other neighborhoods can stand it, but hers, they don't even want to hear the word rap." Derrick explained, taking a turn. "Is she like that?" Keenan asked. "Nah, she just don't really know what to do. She's heard rap before but she kinda just awkward as hell." Derrick laughed as he turned down the music. "Here we go." Derrick said. Derrick pulled up to a gated community. "Damn, she live here?" Keenan said in awe, but at the same time nervous. "Yeah, unreal right?" Derrick said pulling up to the fourth house on the left. Derrick honked the horn and soon Sarah came out of the house.

Sarah got to Derrick's truck to find Keegan in the truck. "Hey, Derrick and Keegan." Sarah said getting in the backseat. "Keenan." Keenan corrected. "Huh?" Sarah said sliding her purse off her shoulder. "You said Keegan, my name is Keenan. You know, like Kenan and Kel?" Keenan said as Sarah looked lost. "You haven't seen Kenan and Kel, All That?" Keenan said turning around in his seat, this was crazy to him. "Nope, can't say I have." Sarah said shaking her head. "Fat Albert?" Keenan said as her eyes lit up. "Hey hey hey, it's Fat Albert! Derrick brought that movie to school one day." Sarah said as Keenan smiled. He couldn't help but smile, she was ditzy as hell. "The guy that plays Fat Albert is named Kenan Thompson. My name is Keenan." Keenan said as Sarah's mouth gaped open. The whole time she was calling him Keegan. "I am so sorry. If it makes you feel better, people spell my name without the h." Sarah said as Keenan laughed. "Nice to know." Keenan said. "Turning on rap music now Sarah." Derrick said hitting the play button on my phone. "Can you at least play one that I know?" Sarah asked. "And which one is that?" Derrick asked. "The one that goes If one more label try to stop me." Sarah said as Keenan let out a small laugh. Sarah actually liked that song, she was a fan of rap actually. People at her school just didn't listen to it, and her parents would kill her if she played it in the house. She didn't have any on her phone but she took it to heart to listen to any rap song that Derrick played in the car. "Okay Sarah, it's called No Problem by Chance the Rapper" Derrick said turning on the song. "How many more rap songs do you know?" Keenan asked, trying to keep conversation. "Uhm, I think...four? Not sure, might be getting lyrics mixed up." Sarah said bobbing her head to the beat. After the song went off Caroline by Amine came on. "Ooooh, I know this one!" Sarah said getting excited. "Is Bri already at the school?" Derrick asked. "Shouldn't you know, you guys text like every minute." Sarah said pulling out lipstick. "Not recently we don't." Derrick said as he sounded sad to Sarah. "I'll talk to her, you know how she is." Sarah said as Derrick sighed. "Don't I know." Derrick said as Keenan scoffed. When they made it to school, Jason decided to come up to Sarah. "Hey Sarah." Jason said high-fiving Derrick. "Jason." Sarah said with a venomous tone. "Why the 'tude, Sarah? Thought we could be more civil." Jason said licking his lips. "I thought the same thing until you rub Taylor in my face." Sarah said, crossing her arms over her chest. "If you'll excuse me, I have a friend to talk to. See you later Keenan, Derrick." Sarah said walking off. "See you in Biology, Derrick. Rather not hear this conversation." Keenan said as Derrick nodded. "I hope he's not sitting with us at lunch" Keenan heard Jason say to Derrick.

As the day progressed, Sarah was feeling drained. All the talk of today was Keenan. They act like they've never seen a black person before, two already go to their school! Kylie even asked how Keenan got his hair that way. Keenan didn't mind that people were curious, but Sarah on the other hand, hated how everyone asked the dumbest of questions or why black people did this and that. Sarah didn't understand a lot of things about black culture, but asking that many questions was just outrageous.

At lunch, Jason even had the nerve to try to kick Keenan out of the table group. Keenan didn't mind, he knew he couldn't just automatically take this guy's place. Sarah wished Jason would just get with Taylor and move on, this was getting ridiculous! At the end of the day, Sarah, Derrick, and Keenan rode home together. "So, how you liking Wellesden Prep?" Derrick asked. "It's aight, I guess. You guys are pretty chill." Keenan said looking back at Sarah, who gave a small smile. "You're not so bad yourself, Keenan." Sarah said making sure she got his name right. Once they made it to Sarah's house, Keenan rolled the window down. "Let me get yo number." Keenan said as Derrick lifted an eyebrow at him. "Sure." Sarah said cheerfully. Keenan handed her his phone and she handed him hers. "Okay, Sarah Jessica." Keenan said as Sarah furrowed her brows. "My middle name isn't Jessica." She said. "I know. It's just that your first name is Sarah and you dress kinda like Sarah Jessica Parker from Sex and the City." Keenan explained as Sarah laughed. "I guess it's an honor to be called someone so stylish." Sarah said as they got their designated phones back. "See you later." Sarah called as Derrick drove off. "Okay, Sarah Jessica." Derrick said mimicking Keenan. "What?" Keenan asked laughing. "I see you slick, I see you. And what the hell you know about Sex and the City?" Was all Derrick said as they went back to Keenan's house. "My momma love the shit outta that show, but Sarah's a cool girl though man." Keenan said as they sat out in Derrick's truck. "She's good people, a bit ditzy, but good people." Derrick said as Keenan got out. "Alright man, I'll catch you in the morning." Keenan said as he and Derrick did the fist bump handshake.
