Chapter 48: Convince

We were all done with our work and my energy was really drained from everything. Also because I felt really down and sad of what happened. I was so embarrassed with my team.

"Water?" Ara asked and gave me a bottle of water she bought. She started drinking her bottle and sat beside me.

"Thank you." I said and drank as well.

"Papunta na ba si Adam dito?" Ara asked.

"Yup. Bumisita siya sa mga sites para sa bar niya na itatayo dito." I said.

"Okay. Sasabay nalang ako kila Kuya." She says.

James on the other hand was busy with the Engineering Team. Kaya hindi niya ako napapansin. Kelly was out training the chefs.

"Ang tagal naman niya." Ara complained.

Me and Ara continued chatting while waiting for Adam. But mostly, she was just cheering me up and lightening my mood.

"Ayan na siya!" Sigaw ni Ara which caught so much attention from the people around us.

"Ano ka ba, Ara! Shhh!" Saway ko.

I fixed my clothes and grabbed my things.

"Hi, love!" Adam greeted as he hugged me tight. He grabbed my things and smiled.

"Hello!" I said smiling widely. I gave him my things.

"Where's Kelly?" He asked placing my things at the backseat.

I scratched my head. Nakalimutan ko na may nangyaring masama kanina at nandito pa si James. "Uh, training the chefs." I said.

"Alright. Let's go." He offered the passenger's seat.

"Bye, Adam and Nadine!" Ara said while waving.

"Mag-ingat kayo nila Kelly mamaya, ah!" Saad ko at kumaway. I glanced where James was and he was staring also. I looked away.

While driving to the Restaurant where Adam was talking about. He wanted to talk about my day.

"How's work?" He asked.

I smiled weakly. "Tiring." I sighed.

"Ikaw? How's the sight seeing for bars?" I said smiling.

"Well, I found the perfect area. Marami lang ako aasikasuhin in the next few days." He explained.

Mabilis naman kaming nakarating doon sa Restaurant na sinasabi niya. Mukhang sikat dahil may pila pero buti nalang at may upuan kami kaagad.

"How's working with your ex?" He suddenly asked and dropped the menu at the side. Iniintay nalang namin ang order namin pero parang may gusto pa akong tikman ng mga dishes nila.

"We had an argument in front of the team. Nakakahiya nga eh." Kwento ko.

"Asshole! Why?" Adam asked madly. I can see his mood changed quickly.

"I was texting you while we were still working." I sighed.

"He's just jealous." He commented.

"Still an asshole move." He irritatingly added.

"Okay lang. Kanina pa naman yun." I said drinking the wine.

He chuckled. "That's what I like about you." He continued. "So selfless. You don't care anymore about his insult. If I were you, I would punch him."

"Adam, hindi lahat dinadaan sa away." I warned.

"Yes po." He uttered and laughed.

"Anyways, I'm volunteering to look for your furniture sa bar mo. I won't be that busy since the team's there for my substitute." I said.
