Chapter 1

Ran : Shinichi!!
Shinichi : RAN!! RUN AWAY NOW!!
Ran : W... What?!
Shinichi : GO!! ARGH!!

Blood started dripping off his chest as he collapsed to the ground.
Ran : "Gasp" SHINICHII!!!! NOO!!
Shinichi : "cough" "cough" Run...... Now.... Idiot.....
Ran : No... NO SHINICHI!!! "Gasp"!!!

A mysterious figure showed up and pointed his gun to her face.
Man : Sorry sweetie.... Time's up!

"Bang!"

Ran : NOOO!!! "gasp" "pant" "pant" Shini.... Chi.....

She started checking her whole body to make sure she wasn't a ghost nor bleeding.
Ran : Just a dream..... Just another dream......
Conan : "Yawn" Ran neechan?
Ran : C... Conan kun! Why are you here?
Conan : I heard you shouting so I decided to check you out.
Ran : I'm fine Conan kun! I just had a bad dream about.....
Conan : ?? About what Ran neechan?
Ran : Shi.... I... I mean.... Uh.... Nevermind Conan kun! Probably it's because I'm just nervous about tomorrow.
Conan : Oh yeah! Tomorrow is your karate championship!

Conan closed the door and immediately went to sleep again. However, Ran was still too curious about her repetitive nightmares.

The next morning

She went over to the kitchen and started making some miso soup and salmon teriyaki. Then she placed them on the table along with 3 bowls of rice and 3 sets of spoons and forks.
Ran : Hm.... Smells good. Better eat now or I'll be late.

After that, she took a bath and set off to her match. On that day, her competitor was one of the strongest women in Tokyo. Her strength was way higher than Ran's.
Judge : Now, we'll have Ran Mouri fighting against.... Andrea Eiji!!
Ran : Crap....
Andrea : Hmph, looks like I'll have to put a little bit of effort to get rid of you, Mouri San.

When she was getting up, Andrea positioned herself and prepared for her next move. At first, Ran could still dodge her kicks and punches. However, when Ran tried to punch her, Andrea jumped and kicked her face sideways, sending her flying to the ground. The crowd gasped, some were concerned about Ran while others were cheering for Andrea's victory.
Andrea : I admire your effort and strength. I had fun fighting you Mouri san. I look forward to see you stronger one day.
Ran : "cough" I'll beat you on that day, Eiji san.
Andrea : "snicker" Well, good luck on that Mouri san.

Both of them went out of the area and Ran the medic team helped Ran heal her bruises. Her head was already spinning and throbbing so she immediately went straight home. On the way home, she found Conan strolling around the town looking for a new Detective book.
Ran : C... Conan kun!
Conan : Ran neechan! Huh? What happened to your cheek?!!
Ran : It's just a bruise Conan kun. I kinda lost....
Conan : O... Oh....
Ran : "giggle" I'm sure I'll beat her next year though. I'll prove that I'm stronger than her!
Conan : Yeah, you can do it Ran eechan!
Ran : Well, we better go now. It's getting late.
Conan : Ok, what are we going to have for dinner Ran eechan?
Ran : Oh yeah! I have to pick up apples for tonight. Do you want to come with me Conan kun? I'll buy you some of those Yaiba snacks that's popular nowadays!
Conan thinking : Heh, I'm 18; I don't like those stuff you moron...
Ran : Conan kun?
Conan : Ah, um of course! Let's go Ran eechan!

Both of them went away to a fruit store. Along the way, Conan noticed that Ran would constantly groan or look like she was going to throw up, so he tried his best to help her.
Cashier : Thank you for shopping here! Have a nice day!
Conan : Let's go home now Ran eechan. Let's go!
Ran : "Chuckle" You seem excited Conan kun. Ok let's hurry up.

Suddenly Conan noticed a black Porsche popping out behind an abandoned building. His eyes immediately widened and he rushed away, leaving Ran alone.
Ran : Conan kun! You're going the wrong way!
Conan thinking : Why are they here?! Grrr are they trying to find Haibara again?! Or did they find out it's me?!

Conan went to check out the car. There was no one inside it, so he was getting more agitated. He tried to open the door, but he suddenly felt a presence behind his back. He looked through the glass of the door and saw Gin and Vodka's reflection, staring into his eyes.
Conan : "gulp" Wow! This is such a weird car!!!
Vodka : Grrr... Scram you little brat!
Gin : Wait a minute.
Vodka : But brother.
Gin : "growl" It's a kid, Vodka. You don't want to waste this, do you?
Vodka : !!!
Conan thinking : What is he talking about? Is, is he trying to kidnap me?! C... Calm down, Shinichi. Just pretend.
Conan : Mr. do you own this? It's so cool!!
Gin : Do you want to see what's inside the car kid?
Conan : No thanks! I have to go home now!
Gin : .... Smart kid....
Conan : Hm? Oh well, bye Mr!
Vodka : Hold up.

He grabbed Conan's collar and dragged him away with his other hand covering Conan's mouth.
Ran : Conan kun? CONAN KUN!
Gin : Gr... Vodka, take care of her. I'll handle the brat.
Vodka : Got it.

He clenched his fists and charged at Ran. Even though her head was already going crazy due to the pain, she immediately jumped and tried to kick his face. However, her energy was already used for her championship and her head took away her focus, so Vodka dodged it and punched her stomach. Ran immediately shrieked in pain and started coughing and throwing up. When she was panting, Vodka grabbed her neck and knocked her out.
Vodka : Hm, should I just snap her neck? But it may create rumors and mysteries. This may threaten the Organization.... Hm?

Vodka noticed a box of pills and went inside the car to take it. He placed one inside her mouth and forced her to drink it.
Man : Is everyone ok? I heard a scream?
Vodka : Crap someone's coming. Urgh, I better run away.

He went into the car and fled. The man found Ran's unconscious body on the ground. He immediately ran away to call for help. Meanwhile, Conan managed to run away from Gin. He went to Ran and noticed that her body was smoking and getting smaller and smaller.
Conan : What the?! RAN! RAN ANSWER ME!
Ran : ........
Conan : RAAAANN! Grrr, what did Vodka do?! Wait a minute.... Don't tell me.... APTX 4869?!!! IT CAN'T BE! I better take her to Haibara. I bet she'll know what to do.

A few minutes later
Vodka : Brother, where's the kid?!
Gin : Somehow I couldn't catch that brat. My stamina went down. How's the girl.
Vodka : I gave her one of the pills inside the car that we're investigating. That thing killed the traitor and some other pathetic people, so....

Before he could finish his sentence, Gin pointed his gun towards Vodka's face with his eyes glaring at him.
Vodka : B... Brother...
Gin : ........
Vodka : L.... Look... a guy was coming so I had to do that. If I killed her with my own hands, it might threaten our identities.
Gin : If you dare do that again, I'll make sure a bullet will be inside your head.
Vodka : Y.. Yes.. I'm sorry..
