Little Black Kitty used to run and play
Thoughts of happiness and joy was all she ever thought of,
But that was a long time ago
A very long time ago.
Little Black Kitty sits alone all day,
Though surrounded by many, she sees no one
As angry eyes watch her from afar
Looking away, suppressing thoughts.
Little Black Kitty has a mask over her face,
She's scared but reassuring words calm her down.
She didn't know why he loved her so much
But she was grateful that he was around.
Little Black Kitty, been missing for two weeks
Some think she isn't coming back,
Some think she's gone,
But dark thoughts creep back into her head as she sees angry words unfold before her eyes.
"Little Black Kitty, everything's gonna be okay.
Don't worry about anything, I will protect you
No one will hurt you,
Smile please, don't cry."
Little Black Kitty with scars on her arm
Sits in a crowded room of approximately forty one,
Eyes stare at her small, fragile frame
Her heart races with fear, her whole body shakes.
“Little Black Kitty, just look away,
Sit back down, put that away."
Silencing her thoughts, no emotions in her eyes,
Just a big broad smile and a shaky step.
Little Black Kitty sees fear in his eyes
And let's out a scream of delight
"This is what you wanted! This is what you get!"
As a scream of terror rang through her ears.
Little Black Kitty sits alone in the room that was once filled,
Dangling her feet from a chair
Her hands stained red
"Don't you love the silence?" she whispers to a once beating heart.
"Little Black Kitty, what have you done?"
The voice of her beloved rang through the silent room.
She got up and pushed the body aside,
Blood dripping everywhere.
She walked to the door and looked into the eyes of her beloved.
He couldn't believe what he saw.
She began,in a calm gentle voice, "Kitty is a good girl, she didn't do anything bad,
Kitty stopped the fear that was running though her veins,
Kitty silenced the demons that were laughing in her head."
Her voice changed, "I was tired of being mocked, and tormented by his gaze."
"I told you I would make it better!" her beloved raised.
She looked back at the body and let out a scream,
"I made it better, made him scream,
I made made him feel the fear I felt,
I made it end, all end!"
A hard slap brought her back to her senses.
The room was filled forty one, chatter in the air.
"You fell asleep, don't scare us like that."
Little Black Kitty opened her eyes only to see everything was fine,
Everything was as it should be,
Everything was alright.
But at the back of the room sat those cold, confused eyes staring at her.
Little Black Kitty used to run and play,
Thoughts of happiness filled her days,
But everything was lost and it only seemed like a dream.
Little Black Kitty be careful what you dream.
