Hell on Earth(FF/KH, Naruto Shippuden).

Chapter 8

Taking it all in, you forgot to keep your guard on and when you remembered, it was too late.”Drop it.”If it wasn’t that familiar voice, you would be struggling to get that damn gun away from your head but instead, you laughed. 

You did however place the gun away knowing that you would not need it. The male that stood behind you kept pointing his weapon  to the back of your head. “Well, if it isn’t my good old friend, Genesis.”

Hesitation as if wondering who you could be.”[N-Name]?” Finally he asked as if not believing that you were there.  Shaking your head, you wondered how you were able to make Genesis, a gentleman, to stutter. 

A laugh was your response and you glanced down to the floor.” Yes, it’s me. It’s been a while hasn’t it Genesis, Cloud?” 

His jaw dropped but then he closed his mouth when Cloud stood up and just watched the scene in front of him.”Indeed, it has been quite a long time. I thought that perhaps you had been captured.”

You raised and eyebrow and crossed your arms across your chest.”Really? Here I thought you would have some faith in me.”It was meant to ease the tension but it didn’t and you knew why. It was not easy to find yourself separated from your group of friends, that was for sure. “Did you jump off of  the boat when we were attacked?” You asked and their single nod confirmed your point. 

“How did you escape?” It was Genesis who asked a bit curious.

The only thing that you could do is just sigh. “You could say that it was...a bit like you. I’ve been looking for you guys for so long. I was lucky enough as to find, Zack,Sephiroth, Gaara,Sasuke, Shikamaru, Noctis and Itachi, along with some survivors.”

“What about the rest?” That was not what you wanted to be asked, it wasn’t pleasant having to tell them that you were not sure where they could be. 

Sighing, you shook your head sadly. “That is what I am trying to find. I still am hoping that I will eventually find them, like I found some others...” A serious look took its place on your face. “I just don’t want to think that they were captured by THEM.” 

A somber look crossed the males’ face and you knew why. If they were truly captured, you didn’t know what was being done to them. You just simply could not  “So do you have a certain plan?” Cloud asked looking interested in what you had in mind.

A plan, you just didn’t want to go into that now, you needed to find a place to rest, then you can sit down and chat. “Would you guys mind if we find a good place for the rest? They are tired and need to rest.”

A simple and yet charming smile was given by Genesis why Cloud nodded. “Actually, the town is safe, there are some houses that can be occupied since they had been secured by their previous owners.” 

That would was what you wanted to hear. “Good, let’s go then.” As you placed your gun back on its place and waltz yourself out of the house.  And as you had asked, the survivors had been placed in some houses. Those who were capable of protecting themselves had taken the role of protecting some of the houses. Three of the houses had been occupied and three small groups of fighters had been made.

Itachi and Gaara had taken the one on the left, Sephiroth and Tseng took  the one in the middle. Vanitas refused to work with anyone else...other than you of course. When the groups had been discussed, he had mentioned that he would rather be alone, but once you offered to be his companion for the shift, he did nor complain.

The rest of the fighters had no other option but to wait for their turn while the groups on duty simply took their posts and waited until the sun hid behind the mountains. Night soon came and three fires were lit to ease the coldness.  Very few clothing was available so the fire would bring some heat that was more that welcomed.
