***Time Skip to the summertime, that year***

"Henry, watch out!" I yelled as I swung on the rope swing near the lake. I let go and jumped into the lake. My brother and I were spending the day at the lake, just getting to know each other. We were talking when we heard a rustling in the bushes. I gasped and I tensed up. "What was that?" I asked Henry softly. He shrugged and then we stood still until we thought that whatever was there was gone.

"Well, well, well." A voice said. I tensed up again and I almost started crying. I was never good when I was scared. I hated being scared, whereas some of the girls I knew thought it was a thrill. Henry and I looked at the bushes, waiting for someone to walk out. "Look who we have here." The person walked out from behind the bushes and Henry sighed. "Pan, I thought you weren't going to bother me anymore." He said. I looked up and it was Peter Pan. He was really scary looking and I was so intimidated by him.

"Oh, I'm not here for you Henry." Pan said. "I'm here for your sister." I almost fainted. "No, you're not going to touch her." Henry said. "Get her boys!" Pan yelled. I was grabbed and yanked from the water, kicking and screaming. "Let me go!" I screamed. "Cassie!" Henry yelled as he tried grabbing me. It was too late. The lost boys had taken me away.

After what seemed like forever, I was placed on a log, with a blanket over my shoulders. I was shaking like a leaf and crying my eyes out. "Cassie, we're not going to hurt you." I heard a voice say softly. I jumped and looked up. It was Pan, looking at me with sad eyes. "We just wanted to scare Henry and your mom to get them here." I started crying again. "Well you scared me too." I said. Pan looked around, and none of the lost boys were looking, so he hugged me. I tensed up, and he pulled away.

"S-Sorry." I said. "Are you okay?" Pan asked. "That's a stupid question." I said, giggling a little. Pan smiled a little and rolled his eyes. "No, really. I need to know." He said, his smile fading. I sighed. "I used to get beat up at the orphanage I used to be at." I said, looking down at the dirt on my feet. I looked up at Pan as he sighed.

"What?" I asked. Pan shook his head. "I didn't know." He said softly. He sat down next to me and looked at me. "I should be saying sorry." He said. I shrugged. "It's fine." I said. "I'm used to it." I looked at him. There was a long, awkward silence before one of the lost boys walked up. "Pan, Regina and Henry are here." He said. I jumped up and so did Pan. "There gonna take you home, Cassie." He said.

"I know." I said. I turned to him. "Will you come visit me?" I asked. "To make sure I'm okay?" Pan smiled and nodded. "Can...Can I have a hug?" He asked. I smiled and we hugged. "No!" My mom yelled. "Don't hug him Cassie!" We pulled out of the hug and my mom was scared to death. "Cassie, thank God you're okay!" She said. pulling me into her arms. Honestly, I liked Pan's hug better because he rubbed my back.

"I'm sorry mom." I said. "Don't be sorry, honey." She said as she pulled back from the hug. She placed her hands on my shoulders. "Are you okay, though?" She asked. I nodded. "Pan made sure I was." I said, turning to face Pan. He smiled at me and I smiled back. "C'mon. We have to go home." My mom said. We started walking home and I turned and waved to Pan, who smiled and waved back. I wasn't sure, but I think I was falling for him.
