In The Night Time

Light tapping and beeps could be heard from the cockpit. It was dimly-lit by the buttons and the stars outside the windshield, and someone could be seen sitting on a chair in the middle. The person wore white gloves.

"Ship status: normal. Initiating nightly check." The voice was slightly masculine, but with a soft tone. "O, could you come here? I need to file a report."

"Be-beep!" A round creature chirped, quickly entering the room. It bore small arms with stubby fingers and two square blocks with four sections, one on each side of its head. It moves around on a white cloud.

"Spaceship Tetra Captain T speaking." The boy spoke. "The ship's status seems normal at the moment. I just initiated the nightly check, will update in the morning. Report over, good night."

"Thank you, O. You're a good boy." T pet his mascot's head.

"Beep!" O beeped. It was always happy to help its friend with the ship reports. "Beep be-beep beep?"

"Of course you can. I will only update when we wake up, so you can rest."

T left the ship's control panel area, as the scan would take a while. He got up from the chair and stretched.

"Being the ship's captain sure is fun, but it's also pretty tiring." He yawned. "I wonder how she's doing...?"

The boy went to prepare himself to sleep, changing into pajamas that looked like his regular clothes. A white, long-sleeved button-up shirt with yellow buttons, a purple trim and dark purple sleeves, dark purple pants and white slippers with a lavender rim, accented by a "T" tetromino.

He entered his bedchamber, and noticed the girl sleeping on his bed. Her figure moved slightly as she breathed.

T tried not to wake her up as he got in bed by her side. Her long, brown hair covered her face; her pale skin was accented by a stripe-like birthmark across her face. She wore a light blue nightgown. She suddenly turned around to face T, which startled him.

"You're here." She whispered. "What took you so long?"

"I was running the nightly ship checkups. I thought you were asleep."

"I was, but I kinda woke up when you came in."

He took one of her hands and kissed it.

"I'm sorry."

The girl kissed his nose.

"It's alright. I just didn't want you to sleep so late."

"Don't worry about me, Aggypon. You know I try to keep a steady sleep schedule, *unlike you.*"

"Oh, come *on!*" She giggled.

He moved closer to her and kissed her on the lips, wrapping his arms around her.

"I wouldn't let you sleep alone." T said as he broke the kiss.

"I know you wouldn't." Aggypon replied softly.

The two then fell asleep in an embrace, enjoying each other's warmth.
