Chapter 1: Ferzen

Kayaba Akihiko, I thought to myself.

Kayaba Akihiko, one of the smartest man in the world. The thought of his doings brings the aches back into my heart.

I snap out of my thoughts. Someone calls my name.

"Kirito!" Asuna's sweet voice calls me while she's waving her arms to get my attention.

"Come on! Or I'll through a sword at your face" yells Liz.

I get up with a grunt. Asuna comes over and giggles.

"What?" I say.

She plucks a few leaves from my head. Asuna kisses me on the cheek and leads me towards Liz, Leafa, Klein, Yui, Silica, and Egil.

We reached the old temple. the temple smelled of such a false smell, we all had to cover our nose. we walked into the abandoned temple for quite a distance, coming across a few cockatrice, a green and yellow chicken and jaguar, a molborsch, 8 meter purple frog, and a room full of kijimu, a 2 meter wolf with horns. Finally, we reached an old bearded man at the double doors. We talk to this old man while Klein tries to pin down Egil who is twice his size.

"Please help me young ones," the old man says with a quiver. "Please! Please!" he begs on his knees.

Yui helps him up. "What's wrong , Mr."

"Please! Help me! A ferocious beast has taken my gift of a pearl about this big." he draws an imaginary circle in the air about as big as himself.

"Wow! That's big!" I say.

"Please! Please! it was a gift for my friend." he said with sorrow in his eyes.

We accepted the quest and entered the chamber. It was dark and quiet. One by one, torches were lit with blue fire around the whole room. At the end, there was a silhouette of a creature almost bigger than the chamber.

We got our weapons ready. we waited and waited until the beast came into the light.

Yui, a creation of the cardinal system, scanned the beast. " This is a Ferzen. Special moves: 28 magic circle blast
Weakness: unknown."

"A Ferzen..." I whispered to myself. The Ferzen had a three layer shell on it's back with orange aguish eyes. The four feet were coiled with armor. Blue and green crystal shines on his back.

The Ferzen stomps closer and closer. Then, it spins and hits us with its tail. we fly across the room with our backs slamming against the wall. I stand up and get ready it's next attack. everyone grunts as they stand. We must concentrate.

We have no idea what is coming our way.
