Chapter One .

Moni pov.

Today is my very first day of College. I've been waiting on this event since my 11th grade year in high school , I plan on doing the whole College experience , the drinking , the partying , the waking up with hang overs and going to class . I'm ready for it all. Right now I'm on my way to college to my dorm room , honestly I'm nervous being the fact that I'm a freshman and I know how the older grades are , but I'll be fine I suppose ...

Pulling in the parking lot of NYU , I get out the car and noticed someone struggling getting their suit case out their truck I laughed at it , because it was a male that was struggling , but I walked up and offered to help , he quickly turned down the offer and I went back to my car , I grabbed my suit case and headed to my dorm room

My dorm room was on the 3rd floor , as I walked through the hallways it was loud as people was happy and excited to see their friends I walked up to my dorm room nervous on who my roommate was , if she would like me , if she would be messy or something ... I walked in noticing she hasn't Even gotten here yet , but it didn't make my nervousness go away , I unpacked my things and took the bed that was near the window , leaving the other side of the room for her . I called my mother letting her know I'm safely here in my dorm currently waiting on my roommate , she sounded sad and hurt because I left home but I honestly was happy that I did , spending years in the house honestly makes you want to leave .

A few moments later my roommate walked in , she had a bright smile on her face .

"Hi I'm Kayy" she introduced herself "I'm guessing you're my roommate?"

"I'm Moni, and you guessed right" I say returning the smile "do you need help with taking your stuff out your car or is that it? Or do you need help getting unpacked?" I asked her trying to be polite

"No it's okay, this is all that I brought with me, but thank you" she said while taking off her sweater and unzipping her suit case

I just smile at her and went to go lay down on my bed listening to music , it was way too early for me to go to sleep , so I decided to take a look around campus and to go get something to eat.  I asked Kayy if she wanted to come but she turned down the offer , telling me she's waiting on her boyfriend I smiled and left telling her it's okay

I walked up to this dinar and walked in asked for a table for one and sat down , I looked across the room and noticed the Boy who was struggling with his suit case earlier I smiled at the memory and walked up to him .

"Hi" I smiled "I don't know If you remember me but ..."

"Yeah I remember you , you're the girl who offered to help me" he said cutting me off

"Yeah I am" I said smiling "I never got to introduce myself but I'm Moni" I said sticking my hand out for him to shake

"I'm Harry" he said smiling and shaking my hand "would you like to sit or..." he said trailing off

"Umm you know what ? Yeah I would" I said taking a seat

"I didn't order yet so I think the waiter should be with us shortly" he said avoiding eye contact

"That's great ... so Harry? Tell me about yourself" I said looking at the menu

"Ummm .. what is there to say? I'm Harry as you know , I'm 18 , my favorite color is black , I'm British , i don't know if you know from the accent or not , I'm originally from London but grew up in America I really don't have much friends , a bit of a nerd as I been told multiple times" he paused looking around for a bit "umm I think that's about it" he said giving me a light smirk "what about you?"

"Well , what do you wanna know?" I asked

"Anything" he responded

"Well umm , I'm Moni as you know , born and raised in New York , I'm definitely not a nerd" I giggled a little "favorite color is Black as well , I'm also 18" I paused for a little thinking what else I can say but I thought of nothing "so umm I guess that's it" I said with a smile .

He nodded returning the smile , after that the waiter came , we ordered our food , ate , talked then he walked me back to my dorm room we exchanged numbers , and left it at that , it was only 7 a little to early to go to bed , so I decided to watch Netflix and lay down for a little , my roommate wasn't home so I just assumed she was with her boyfriend .

As I was about to fall asleep I received a Text .

H: I had really fun today

I smiled at my screen , really wasn't expecting him to text me at all tonight , I quickly replied

M. I also did . Kind of hard to believe you're a nerd lol.

And honestly it was true , it really is hard to believe , nerds are usually kind of lame and aren't fun to hang with , they're really not that much fun to be around and they don't usually be opened distracting me from my thoughts I received a text .

H. Lmao really ? Why's that ?

J. Because you're not a typical nerd , nerds are usually lame , not fun to be around and they don't usually be out going they're always shy

H. Well ... like you said I'm not your typical nerd ;)

I smiled at the text knowing that's true. I got distracted by the banging on the door , I quickly got up and opened the and it was Kayy and I'm assuming her boyfriend .

"Hey I'm John her boyfriend we went to this party and she's completely wasted" he said laying her on the bed

"Oh okay , I'm moni thanks for bringing her back" I said

"Yeah no problem , I uhh I gotta get going tell her to text me when she wakes up" he said storming out my room

I closed the door and laid back down , when I looked at the time it was only 11:00pm. I decided to text Harry back letting him know that I'm going to sleep , gotta get ready for class in the morning

M. You're right I suppose , bit my roommate just got back and I need to go to sleep , I gotta get ready for class tomorrow , goodnight Harry :)
