Bree continued staring at the floor of the dark loft. I looked out the window to look out at the night. I cleared my throat, and she looked at me. My eyes widened at her reaction. I awkwardly smiled at her. "So..."

Bree raised a brow. "So..."

My smile grew wider. "It's Friday night."

Bree nodded slowly. Derek came down the stairs loudly. "I don't care about what you want."

Peter sighed loudly. "You never do."

Derek turned and faced him. "And you haven't learned from it."

Bree and I exchanged glances before looking at the arguing pair. Peter gestured at us. "We should get them out. They don't need to hear this."

Derek crossed his arms and stared at Peter with furrowed brows. "They're part of the pack. Besides, I can't torture just Cora with our bickering, but not them."

I hesitately raised a finger. "Actually, Cora's out... She's always out whenever you two bicker."

Peter and Derek gave a me a look.

"O-okay." I looked down.

Bree let out a small laugh as she always did when I did that. And as always, I smiled.

Peter rolled his eyes and looked at Derek. "Well, it is Friday night, and if Cora's out not listening to this, why can't they do the same?"

Derek sighed as he lowered his head. He pursed his lips and looked at Bree and me. "You guys bored?"

I looked at Bree quickly. Bree smiled and nodded. "Yeah."

Derek looked away. "Then go, but if something -- ANYTHING-- goes wrong, head straight here."

"Perfect." I got up, grabbing Bree's hand and ran out. "I know just the place."

                                               ~~~~~~~
Bree seemed stiff as we walked through the raving crowd. "Can't we just dance on the edge or something?"
I smiled. "It's no fun that way." I pulled her towards me. "Just stay close to me."
"What if someone pulls me away?"
"WHAT?" I asked over the booming music.
"What if someone pulls me away!?"
I smiled and placed her arms around my neck. "Don't let go of me."
Bree paused and slowly grinned. "I don't know how to dance like this."
"I can help you with that." I began swaying, making her sway with me. She eventually got into it. We continued dancing as the lights moved all around us. We got closer and closer, removing more and more space. My hands were on her waist. She eventually pulled me in, resting her head on my shoulder.
I pulled back and locked my gaze with her. I felt our hearts intertwine with the fast beats, but it was difficult to just hear her heart.
"Isaac?"
I slowly leaned in, closing my eyes, and kissed her. It was a long, lingering sort of kiss. We slowly pulled back, opening our eyes. She was gaping, and my eyes began to widened. I waited for a slap, but she just ran out. "Bree!"
I ran after her. She stopped in an empty alley.
"Bree." I looked down. "I'm sorry. I just... I just thought that for as long as I've known you, you might have liked me back. That's the whole reason I keep asking if you want to do something Friday. It's why I always go out of my way to walk you to class. The reason I gave you half my candy on Halloween. It's the whole reason I ask if I can tutor you instead of Scott or Stiles helping you with your homework." I turned around. "I just... I'm sorry."
Instantly, I felt her hug me from behind.
"Don't go, Isaac." Bree embraced me more tightly. "I do feel the same way. I like having you watch over me as I fall asleep even if Derek tells you to do it."
I turned around, facing her. "Derek doesn't tell me to watch over you."
Bree paused, and I smiled. "I watch over you because I know you need someone by your side when you're in the dark."
"How did you know?"
"Because I'm the same way." I held her hand and kissed it. She smiled bashfully, and I smiled widely. "So can we be alone in the dark together?"
Bree nodded and kissed my cheek. "We definitely can."
