Her silver eyes scanned the buzzing saturday night city as she sat, pearched up on the clock tower. Her auburn hair, carried with the wind, twisted and tangled, toying with the crisp air. She shifted, her leather jacket hugging her contently.
She tilted her head in either direction, streatching her now stiffened neck. Spotting her target, the young demon stood, her leather boots whining at the movment. She streatched, stripping herself of her leather jacket, she stepped foward, staring down at the ground from her high pearch.
She took another step, the toes of her heeled boots barley hanging over the edge. Leaning foward, she closed her eyes as her feet left the security of the roof. She fell, her hair whipping around. She fell, her body seeming weightless against gravity. She fell, plummeting towards the calling earth.
She approached the concrete beneath her as her wings unfolded, backdrafting her upwards as she soared closer to her oblivious target. This target, turning the corner into an empty street, whipping out a device that lit up the creatures face. Just as the creature pulled the device up to the side of its head before sighing and dropping it back to observe the power off screen. The target sighed as it shoved this device back into a compartment of its bottoms.
She landed on the roof of the building the target is leaned up against, carefully stalking, waiting. Another creature turned the corner, its eyes glowing in the dark of the night. The creature with glowing eyes stalked foward, intimidating its target. The targets eyes widened, backing away slowly, the scent of fear lacing the cool air. She watched with narrowed eyes, the creature snarling before lunging foward.
She dropped from the roof, putting herself in the path of the lung as she grabbed the neck of the creature, her wings opened and pulled back in defense. She growled, her silver eyes gleaming in the low light. Her lips pulled back as she seethed. "How dare you attack an innocent human, and in MY domain." Her voice held authority as she spoke, her wings folding back but not completely. The vampire snickered. "Well if it isnt the infamous Lullaby Kamara~ The outcast of the royal family of the demon race." His voice boomed, choking with sadistic laughter.
She nods. "That is I. And since you seem to be informed of who I am, are you also informed on what the punishment is for those who attack humans in human territory, especially one that is busy at this time of night?" She bellowed, her tone threatening as she squeezed his throat before throwing him backwards. His body jolting as it came in contact with the concrete ground.
Grunting he stood before bowing "I appologize Ms. Kamara, it will not happen again." His head hung low, realizing he did not have a chance against a royal demon who is known for punishing those who have done wrong. She nodded in approval. "Good, now stand and return to your clan." Lullaby spoke, her tone now calm, still holding authority. The vampire stood, turning before leaving in the dark night lit by only street lights.
The demon turned, her wings now completely folded and her eyes soft. "Are you alright?" Lullaby spoke to the frightened human. The human glanced up and nodded, her white hair dirtied and her eyes baggy. The demon tilted her head, sniffing the air. "When was the last time you showered?" The demon spoke, genuinely concerned for the human as she seemed to be showing signs of a terrible life. The human shook her head, tears dwelling in her eyes. "I dont have a home." The human cried out, tears streaming down her face. The demon didnt press forth with questions, she simply unfolded her wings once more, taking hold of the human and taking off into the stary night sky.
