#41: Tour?!

Grayson had been growing distant from Lily. She didn't know why. He just was. It had been going on for a couple weeks. She could only think he was becoming depressed. It was early July and he has hardly spoken to her since early June. It seems she was about to find out...

Grayson had asked Lily to come round. She agreed and walked to his apartment. When she knocked on, Grayson answered. She greeted him with a loving smile. He led her to his room and told her to sit on his bed. She was confused, but obeyed. He sat next to her and held her hands.

He didn't speak for a while. He was drawing circles on the back of her hand with his thumb. He sighed before speaking. "Lily..." he paused. "I really didn't want this to happen, but I do as well. This was the hardest decision I will ever face! I didn't know what to do. I've been thinking about it for a couple weeks now; that's why I've been so distant. It was hard, but I've come to a decision". He hadn't looked at her once. He kept staring at their hands.

"Ethan and I..." he sighed as he closed his eyes. A tear escaped his eye. "... we're going on tour". Lily was speechless. "I am so sorry! I don't want to leave you, but I really want to meet all my fans! Everyone who supports me! I'm not sure how long for, yet. I love you. I'm sorry". He bowed his head in shame.

Lily turned him to face her. She kissed him gently on the lips. "Don't be. You've always dreamed of traveling around the world; don't let me stop you following your dreams. You have come so far, I am so proud! I will support you no matter what! I'll be fine with you traveling. I've got Alisha to keep me company! And I can always text or call you". She smiled at him as she wiped away his tears. "When do you leave?"

"Next week".

"Oh" she breathed. "I guess we should start packing!" She said as she got off his bed. "Where do you keep your suitcases?" She asked as she looked around the room. Grayson got off his bed and walked to his wardrobe. He pulled an empty suitcase out and placed it on the floor. They began to pack his suitcase in silence.

After they had packed two suitcases, they lay in Grayson's bed together. Lily cuddled up to him as he wrapped his arms around her small frame. Eventually, they fell asleep. Lily had a nightmare that she wished would never happen.

She woke up all alone. Grayson was nowhere in sight. She was lying in her bed. Somehow, she was in her room. She checked her phone for any messages. None. She looked on her previous messages and saw a conversation between her and Grayson. But it was from a year ago?

Tears streamed down her face as she read the conversation. She wiped them away as she closed her phone. They broke up... because of her. She destroyed their relationship. She destroyed Grayson.

Lily woke up to Grayson shaking her awake. She opened her eyes to see Grayson hovering over her. She sat up and wiped her tears away. "Did you have a bad dream?" Grayson asked. Lily nodded her head, afraid to speak. "What was it about?" She shook her head.

She turned to him in the dark. She stared at her hands. "Gray... if, in the future, you catch me cheating on you, and I tell you he kissed me... do you promise you'll believe me?" She asked. Grayson held her hands.

"Is that what happened in your dream?"

She nodded her head. "Gray, I would never cheat on you! I promise! I love you so much! I wouldn't want to be with anyone else! I have never felt anything like this towards anyone else! My heart belongs to you, and no one else. Promise you'll believe me".

"I will always believe you" he whispered. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer to his chest. He lay down in bed and pulled her towards him. He kissed the top of her head. "I know you would never want to hurt me. I promise I will believe you. I didn't let you explain last time, and it killed me to lose you. I'm not going to make that same mistake again". They lay in each others arms until they fell asleep.

A week later

Lily was helping Ethan and Grayson with packing for tour. She wasn't going to the airport because she knew she wouldn't be able to say goodbye. And their fans might bombard her with questions. Their flight was at 7pm, so they had plenty of time.

Ethan and Grayson spent their time with Lily and Alisha. Ethan was able to get Alisha's number so they could stay in contact while he's on tour. It was time for the twins to head to the airport. Ethan was talking to Alisha while Grayson spoke to Lily. They stared into each others eyes.

"I'm going to miss you" Grayson said.

"I'll miss you more" Lily replied as she smiled at him. "But you're going. Have fun. Stay safe. Take care of yourself. Okay? I want you both back in one piece!" Grayson smiled as he hugged her. They broke apart and shared a passionate kiss.

Lily and Alisha walked with them to the car outside the apartment building. The twins said their final goodbyes, and got in the car. Lily and Alisha watched the car disappear before going to Lily's house.

Lily was going to have to spend a few months away from Grayson.
