"And I'm not afraid to hit a guy. So I guess we're even."
"You know,"Blondie told me,"I'm not afraid to hit a girl."
I scoffed,"And I'm not afraid to hit a guy. So I guess we're even."While waiting for him to reply, I sneaked a quick look at my opponent to see what I was up against. A blonde sixteen year old jock with some nice abs. Blondie wasn't exactly too stocky, but he was no shrimp. He was almost a foot taller than me and was probably double my weight. But no, he wasn't fat or obese...I live off of granola bars and fruit...remember?
His two bulky companions took a step towards me. But my opponent stopped them."This will be quick;I don't need your guys' help."
"You ready or not,"I said impatiently before adding,"Blondie"Just to annoy him. Heh.
"Ladies first."He flashed a dazzling grin at me. Ugh.
"Dallas are you-"His friend began to say.
"Yes I'm sure."Dal snapped before waiting for me to make a move.
"Such a gentleman."I said with sarcasm dripping off my voice.
Then I quickly darted toward Dallas. I closed my hand into a fist and put it in ready position(You put your fist against the side of your body right before you punch so you have more control.)against the side of my body. My fist was pointing to the direction of his stomach.
Just like I had planned, Blondie moved his arm that was blocking his face down to his gut all in one fast move.
Smiling in the inside, I positioned my fist that was against the side of my body upward towards his face. I then thrust my arm forward in one fast powerful move. My fist flew to Dallas' face and collided with his nose. There then was an ear-splitting crack. Ouch.
"You bitch!"Dal spit out, clutching his noise which was bent abnormally to the side. His hand was splattered with blood.
"I get that a lot."I said dryly, expecting him to try to strangle me or something. I broke his freakin nose! I'm assuming the broken-nose process wasn't a whole lot of fun.
With his free hand, Dallas swung a punch at me, aiming at my face.
Prepared, I grabbed the wimp's arm before ducking swiftly under his arm so I stood behind him with his arm still in my hold. Dal's arm was painfully twisted behind him. Ow.
"Think before you act."I advised him with fake concern."You were right,"I flashed a fake innocent grin,"This was a short fight."
"You b-"He started, through gritted teeth.
"Foul language. Tsk tsk."I twisted his arm around some more.
"You...win."My opponent wheezed.
I released his arm. Though I was still suspicious.
Right on cue, Dallas charged at me.
Without hesitation, I got hold of his two shoulders. My fingers digging in so hard I swear there would be bruises later. And for the finale...I brought my knee to..to..up..there.
"Umph!"A strangled gasp escaped through his lips as he sank to the ground in an awkward position.
"Any more attempts to beat me?"My voice sounded bored. This was too easy. Where was the challenge?!
Blondie glowered at me. His oh-so-tough friends scurried away in fright.
I rolled my eyes as I walked to the boy on the ground.
He had deep brown eyes. His right eye was swollen shut and had a dark purple bruise circling around it. His upper lip was split slightly.
"Are you alright?"I asked, tilting my head ever so slightly.
His hair was a light brown-almost-blonde color. Some hair was swept to the side in a cute way. For a few short seconds he just stared at me.
I waited patiently. One crack on the ground..two crack..three..four..f-
"Yeah. Uh, thanks."He finally answered me.
"No problem.."I nodded while avoiding eye contact. Ugh, socializing and talking to people..I hated them both.
"I'm Alex."He smiled up at me.
"Viola. Viola di Angelo."
"It's nice to meet you, Viola."Alex said before standing to his feet."That was amazing, what you did back there. I've never seen anybody stand up to them."
"Yeah. I've fought a lot of things. Those guys were nothing."
"Fought things..like what?"Alex asked, frowning a bit.
"Um..."I shouldn't have said that! Crap!"So uh, why were they fighting you?"
If Alex noticed I had changed the subject, he didn't say anything about it."Dal got upset that I was having a completely friendly conversation with 'his girl'"He rolled his eyes when he said 'His girl'.
"Oh, that's..unfortunate."I fiddled with my shirt, feeling kind of self-conscious because it was kind of tight.
"Yeah..so..er.."
"Itwasnicemeetingyou"I suddenly said. My words were jumbled up and he probably couldn't even understand what I just had said."Um..b-bye."I gave a stupid wave that marked me as an idiot before I bolted out of the quiet parking lot, half aware of Dallas still in his little awkward position on the ground.
The faint sound of Alex's voice called out to me."wait!"
I didn't slow down.
