"Your homework is Chapter 40 and the question th...." Mr. Sov
Says as I tune him out.

I am too busy looking at Her.

The 'Her' I am talking about is the blonde haired beauty sitting two rows away from me jotting down the Homework.

Her Name is Crystal Stone, straight A student, student body president and CEO of the Recycling Club, and I have been madly in love with her since the 6th grade.

I sigh.

She'll never go for a guy like me.
Girls like her go for the sweet innocent good guy, not the rude, cold bad boy.

By the way my name is Carter Fin and I am Holly high's 'Mysterious' Bad boy and most eligible bachelor.

I don't really pay attention to the girls in my school except for her.

"Bring...Bring!"

"All right students have a nice weekend! And do your homework!" Mr. Sov said.

I walk past Crystal's desk and she looks up and smiles at me and I find myself smiling back.

"Hey what's up?" I ask.

"Nothing much. You?" She asks

"Since you asked so kindly, I wanted to ask this beautiful girl out for dinner. So will you go out to dinner with me?" I ask nervously.

"Aww. I can't I have to go study and I have to work maybe some other time." She says softly.

"It's ok. Maybe some other time." I say as I force a smile on my face.

"Well OK. See you around bye." She waves and leaves.

Well my heart just broke a little.

I tiptoe up the stairs hoping not to caught my father's attention.

"Carter Fin where have you been?!" He yells from his office.

'Busted' I thought.

"I was at work."

"From 5-10pm?!" He asks

"Yes. I work long shifts." I say.

"Come here boy."

I walk into his office and brace myself for what's going to happen next.

"You good for nothing son! Can't you see that I don't want you! You are only here because your mother loves you. If she didn't you would have been long gone since you were born!" He shouts into my face.

Now, I just felt my heart break into pieces.

I runout the room and into my own.

I find my notebook and start to write. Tears are blurring my vision and wetting the page.

I write poems it is a form of release.

Here's one:

Depression:

'Depression is not just not smiling no more...
It is like sitting in a dark room and you can't see the light no more...
The light that is suppose to take the darkness away...

That's Depression.'
