Here I am: cold, lonely, and confused. I'm in a very dark room and I don't know what I should do. I yell twice but no one can hear me. After yelling, I push, even though I am highly uncomfortable, my body to where I have been leaned for hours. Only if I knew that my pushing and budging would have me rolling out of a Uhaul truck and onto the rough ragged roads of Virginia highways.
UMPH! I landed on the hard cements of Virginian roads. I rolled and rolled. I wanted to believe this was all a horrible nightmare, and that I would be waking up, screaming anytime soon. But, I still continued to roll. I finally came to an urgent halt, but instead of getting up and running, I was knocked unconscious. I wanted to open my eyes, but I didn't until I knew it was safe. I heard footsteps and a car door slam. The footsteps appeared closer within each footstep. Any minute now, my life was bound to turn for the worst. This was my chance.
The next thing i knew, the back of the Uhaul truck was being rolled down to close. I slowly opened my eyes and slowly but surely, stood up. I was lost and confused, in the middle of nowhere. This wasn't the County Fair. I turned a whole 360 degrees before I saw the man and started to run.
I looked back twice. The first time was to see the man notice me, alive and running. The second time was to see him with a chainsaw in his possession, running towards me. I had no time to care for what I was wearing, or not wearing. I had so little time to get out of this situation alive. I have two options right now; I can either look back, get tripped, and die. Or, run like hell! I have only been alive for 16 years and have yet more years to experience. So there is no question about what I continued to do.
Chapter 1: Creeped out
I woke up from my terrifying nightmare and glanced at my alarm clock. According to it, I was supposed to be up thirty minutes ago. I rushed out of my bed and into my bathroom, that
was in the hallway. I brushed my teeth, took a shower, and got dressed into my field trip outfit. I made sure to pick out the cutest clothes, in my closet, that would pop out especially at a place with so much people.
After adding accessories to match, I applied makeup. 10 minutes had passed before I decided I was ready, and headed downstairs to where I observed a family breakfast in action. My mom and dad were dressed to go to work. My mom works as an undercover police officer at the police department. Her work is private and top secret so therefore, no one really knows what she does. One day, she is a fashion designer, and the next she is a lawyer. Unlike my dad and my brother, I know what she does and why she does it. My mama trusts me and loves me more than them, but doesn't admit it because she dislikes being unfair.
My dad, on the other hand, is a medical examiner. He also takes part in the medical and criminal justice field. His job isn't top secret at all, but it is top paid. He is always serious and in his office, but plays the role of a father when it is necessary.
"Whoa! Slow down, tiger!" Tiger is what my dad has called me ever since I was a little girl. "I wish I could, dad, but I am running late!" I shouted. I kissed both my parents on the cheeks and ran to the computer desk to grab my car keys, only to run back to slap my brother on the back of his head and grab the last piece of toast that happened to pop out of the toaster. "Hey!", Kevin screamed as he plunged himself to the toaster, but was fortunately too late.
"Losers weepers!" I projected as I charged to the front door. I got into my car and jammed my keys into the ignition. Fighting for my car to start, luck was on my side because it started. "I have got to get this car fixed", I reminded myself. I opened my cupboard to grab my phone and call my best friend Stacy.
"Hey cupcake, where are you? We're already at the Fair. You're missing out on all the fun. When are you getting here?" she asked me "Hey, pumpkin, I'll be there in a little bit, ok, I promise. I just have to handle a few things first, okay. I got to go kin. I'll see you there, okay? I stated, hanging up, without waiting for a response. I kept driving until i pulled up into the school's parking lot.
