"I think my devilish attractiveness is enough to blind you."

Tossing and turning. Those were the only two things that Raevyn seemed to be doing every night. Those sleepless, boring, long seven hours of  "sleep". The other girls seemed to be sleeping all right, but Raevyn, simply, could not. Why, you ask? To my utmost sincerity, I cannot answer your question! Not now, at least. The time will come, eventually. But for now, I advise that you sit back, and just read this very true story. Who am I, I imagine you are now wondering inside your precious little mind. You needn't worry, I'm merely the narrator.  And now, at last, the story begins.

Raevyn coughed for about three consecutive minutes. She had poured herself a glass of water from the water jug, but nearly choked. Deciding to get some fresh air, Raevyn, who preferred being known as "Rae", straightened her tank top and pajama shorts, then threw on a light jacket and sneakers. She quietly opened the door, and slipped out of the room, gingerly closing the door behind her and creeping down the steps with a royal blue carpet covering most of the wood of the stairs that led to the girl's dormitories in the Ravenclaw Tower.

Raevyn breathed in the cold, crisp, autumn air as she stepped out into the clearing, the Great  Lake not too far ahead. Her dark brown hair fell down her shoulders, the ends curling slightly, and her blue eyes fixed on the lake. She continued walking until she was at the edge of the large lake. Gently, she sat down and listened to the quiet sounds of crickets, and the occasional "hoot" from an owl. Crisscrossing her legs, Rae stared up at the almost blue moon, resting in the dark blue ocean of the sky.

"What are you doing out here?!"A harsh voice rang through the silence, and a glow from a wand breaking the darkness.

Rae stood up and spun around. She found herself standing face to face with a boy her age. Sharp features, tall and lean with some muscle, but not that much to make him bulky, glaring grey eyes, and pale, wispy fine blonde hair. Whoa.

"What does it look I'm doing?"Rae shot back, meeting the sharp glaring eyes with her own glare.

"Well, it looks like you're outside past curfew."The boy said, looking around for anyone else he could scold for being out of bed, most likely, Rae thought.

"No. Freaking. Duh."

"You're American?"The question was more of a statement. Surprise showed clearly on his face, her voice had no trace of a British accent.

"I never noticed!"Rae rolled her eyes."And you're a Prefect."She looked at he shiny prefect badge he had attached to his black sweater.

"I never noticed either."

"Haha very funny."Rae said before turning away so the light emitting from the tip of his wand wouldn't get in her eyes."Hey, mind not shining your light in my face? Unless you plan on blinding me."

"I think my devilish attractiveness is enough to blind you."The boy said, quite serious.

An arrogant jerk. Ugh."What's my punishment?"Rae asked, cutting to the chase.

"Detention. Tomorrow, 4:30. The North Tower."

"The Divination classroom?!"Rae groaned."It smells like expired tea and wet parchment in there."

"You'll be sorting the mixed up tea leaves. cleaning the cups. and some other fun things. Have..fun."He flashed her a grin before walking back towards the castle.

Having no choice but to follow, Rae trudged after him.

As the two walked through the empty corridor of the castle, the boy turned the corner and began to walk away from her. Rae hesitated before calling out to him before he was out of earshot,"I never got your name."

Another smile.

"Scorpius..Scorpius Malfoy."Leaving Rae stunned, the son of Draco Malfoy walked off.
