Since it's the middle of July I'm with my friends swimming in my pool. There's two guys I hang out with here right now, but we're trying to find more people to come over. "So, Dylan's gonna come over with Haley and Kylie" Gavin says sitting in the edge of the pool.
"Okay that's gonna be lit. I'm going to get some soda do you guys want anything." I ask while climbing out of the pool.
"Just bring us soda it doesn't matter." Peter shrugs.
It was really boring out there so that's the only excuse I could come up with to go inside. I slide my back door open and cold air hits my chest. Kyara, Nash, and Jack are all lounging around the living room like they always are. "Hayes!" Kyara yells excitedly when we make eye contact. Nash rolls his eyes at the interaction. Of course he would, he's always ruining someone's time.
"Damn you guys are real happy to see each other." Nash says with an attitude. I ignore him he can keep being mad all he wants.
"Kyara!!" I yell back.
She stands up and walks over to me. As she's walking 5 feet over to me I notice that her hair is curly today usually she straightens it. I love when her hair's curly she looks so good with it. Her shorts are shorter than normal showing a lot off. The shirt she's wearing is tight around her chest. She looks beautiful today. I gulp and close my eyes. I shouldn't even be thinking like that, Kyara is like my sister. My eyes snap open when she pulls me into a hug. I wrap my arms around her waist in response. The scent of pears fills my nose when I inhale. I'm trying to distract myself from her boobs pushed up against my bare chest until she pulls away. "I missed you bro" She smiles then walks into the kitchen. That hug felt special, it lasted longer than any hug we've ever shared before. And feeling her against me was nice. It was just an innocent hug between two friends I shouldn't be thinking like this. I mean Kyara's about to be a senior and I'm gonna be a sophomore. So, it just can't happen.
I let out a huge breath I was holding in then notice a Jack and Nash staring me down. Alright I'm just gonna keep going. I go to the kitchen like I originally planned and grab 3 cups to fill them all with soda. "What's up b?" Kyara says sitting at the island with a cup up to her mouth.
"Nothing really, I'm just getting some soda. How about you?" I say to her from across the island.
"I'm good. Hayes, can I have the soda?" She holds her hand out for it. I give it to her and our hands rub against each other. When i look at her again she's already looking at me. She quickly swallows the Sprite from her cup and comes behind me to put it in the sink. When she walks past I notice part of her shorts uncovered by her shorts. I hit myself in the forehead. Stop looking at her like that.
I put my hands on the edge of the counter and close my eyes to think about this situation. I like my brothers best friend.
My thoughts are interrupted by small hands grabbing my hair. I turn around and her hand stays in my hair, but our bodies are inches apart. "You're so wet you should've dried your self off. New you're gonna get your house all wet." Her hand comes out of my hair. Her hazel eyes disconnect from mine. That'd be normal on any other day. Maybe it seems more special just because of my new crush. Okay that's enough of this.
"I've been in here for awhile, I'll see you later." She nods in response to me, I smile then head back out with the sodas in both hands.
Peter and Gavin are still at the edge of the pool just like when I left. I hand the sodas to them then sit down in the edge next to them. "Shit y'all" I put my head in my hands.
"What happened? Are we jumping someone, is it a girl? What's going on?" Peter asks.
I laugh "No we're not jumping anyone. It's a girl." I look behind me at my house.
What the hell am I doing?
"Shit finally, who is it?" Peter asks
"You finally got yourself a girl, who!?" Gavin yells.
"No she's not my girl. It doesn't even matter who it is. She's a senior, so there's no point of trying." I sigh. Not only is Kyara a senior, but she's my brothers best friend.
"What kind of messed up attitude is that. Who cares what grade she's in? If you want her you gotta get her. We won't be able to help you with this unless you tell us who it is, it can't be that bad." Gavin elbows me in the side.
"Okay, but you can't bring it up." I look from Peter to Gavin then say "I like Kyara."
Gavin's eyes widen and Peter falls in the pool. "Nash's best friend Kyara? The girl in your house Kyara? The hot Kyara? Big booty Kyara? The girl that's pretty much your sister Kyara? Oh my god you like Kyara. When in the hell did this start." Peter says shocked in the middle of the pool.
I laugh at their reactions and say, "Shit, I don't even know. We were inside just now and she looked so pretty then she hugged me. That's when I just noticed that I like her."
"So that's what took you so long, you were in there getting hoes. We can help you get her." Gavin's shoulders go up and he smiles.
"No its okay, I don't need help. I got this, I know what to do." I smile and look back at the house again
