Silence fell on the wagon. Our breathing began to be heavy as we passed over mount Elka. The air turned fridged and I pulled my blanket closer in attemp to keep my body heat.
A single flake of snow drifted down from the wagons cloth covering. I stared at it in wonder as I had before seen something so delacate.
The wagon stopped ubrubtly and i heard yelling and shouting, i noticed two shadows coming towards us. "Come out if you want to eat." Said a bald, meaty man. The second handed Gavin a blanket before walking off.
I gave a nervous look to Gavin before crawling out.
The moment i was outside I got the overpowering smell of fresh bread, meat, and spices. My mouth started to water. Gavin appeared beside me.
"Smells wonderful!" He said. And our stomachs grumbled loudly.
"Let's go get some food," i said. "Come on."
I ran to grab food for us when someone stopped to block my path.
"What do you think your doing?" He said in a raspy voice.
"My friend and I are hungry." I answered simply, trying to sound as bold as possible.
He smiled. "Your the new prodigies right?" I nodded. " they want you in there." He turned and pointed to a slightly fancier tent. "That's where you'll meet the boss."
I swallowed. Whoever the 'Boss' was I did not want to meet him. Not if he was anything like the men here."Oh."I said nervously.
