You know that feeling when you can't sleep, like you feel there's something hiding behind the door staring at you through the door. You try to sleep. Then the noises start, they startle you, it sounds like something's scratching on wood, and growling. You think, im so tired its just my mind playing games, but the sound goes on, and on. Finally, you give up, if you were a cat, the curiosity would have killed you, all nine lives.. you stand up cautiously, slowly turning the lights on as if it were standing in the corner, waiting to pounce on you. The sounds are coming from the front door, you slink into the living room, low, like a puma stalking its prey and the growling gets louder and you hear the scraping more clearly, it was vicious, as if a mad killer was stabbing a victim with hate and torture. Scared and shaking, you reach for the telephone, the scratching comes to a halt and it so quiet you would hear a pen drop on the floor,it seemed it was all a dream. For what feels like hours, you sit there with the phone in your hand, frozen with fear you almost dropped it, you wait for the scratching to continue, but it never does.. You work up some courage and walk to the door saying in your head this creature can't hurt me. You open the door and the cool night air creeps in and sends chills running up your spine as you peer into the stillness of the night. Nothing, there was nothing at all, you say it must have been a dream.. you shut the door but something catches your eye, scratches on the inside of the door. Your heart nearly jumps out of your chest and fear floods your body taking over and you face gets hot, but, its not from the fear, you feel a raspy breath on the back of your neck, you want to leap into the safety of your bed and you wish your curiosity wouldn't have brought you out here. A deep voice whispers, "They'll never find your body" You scream and it grasps your mouth closed with a dirty hand, wait, a paw, it grabbed your mouth with a paw and the razor sharp claws pierce your skin and you feel warm blood trickle down the side of your face. It said, "It's no use to scream, I already killed them, they won't rescue you" You whimper and start crying, you close you eyes and wish you were with your parents, when everyone was happy and together. You hear it reach for something, then it hits you and you wake up the next morning sprawled on the basement floor, your body aches and you can't move, you're staring at yourself, but how, theres bruises all over your arms and legs, and you're surrounded by a large puddle of blood, you want to wake up but you cant.. A few weeks later you're still stuck staring at yourself, but by now, you were dehydrated and the color of you skin had faded out to white, a tall man burst through the door with a police dog and cops. The man pulled out a walkie talkie and said "We found her dead" Your mind spins out of control and you want to scream, " I'm not dead, I'm right here!" but no sound comes out, forensics come and remove the body, you follow them all the way to the police station where they performed the autopsy. They said you died from being stabbed through the heart and that you were beaten before you were viciously murdered. Years passed and they never found the killer, but you knew where he hid and you haunted him for the rest of his life as you wandered the earth forever. Trapped, with unfinished business that would never be solved. You were known as the wolf killers victim because witnesses say they hear scraping at the door and see you wander through the halls as you search for justice that will never be found.
