"Is it true? Do you really have the, ehhm... well" the red-haired boy gestured towards his forehead. Harry finally caught on to what the freckle face was saying and held his hair up so that the boy could see his scar. The redhead let out a gasp and sat down on the opposite bench.

The rest of the train ride consisted of long, akward silences, harry buying sweets for himself and Ron  -the redhead had eventually introduced himself to harry- trying to show off.

Ronald Weasley seemed desperate to be Harry's friend. So desperate even, that he was going to try to turn his rat yellow. Luckily for harry, a bossy brown haired witch had interrupted there. "Oh, were you going to do magic? Let's see then." But, of course, Ron's spell hadn't worked and the witch left soon after that, saying she was going to look for some toad. As soon as she was gone Ron shot Harry a look, one that clearly indicated he found the witch weird and annoying. But Harry disagreed with the freckle-faced boy next to him, he found that the girl had seemed rather friendly. At least she seemed smart and Harry was in much need of better company than this desperate weirdo. So Harry decided to go after the interesting girl and make some better friends. "I think i'm gonna help her find that frog she was talking about." And without further explanation he left, taking his new trunk and beautiful owl with him.

"Hey, Wait up!" The bushy haired girl and the chubby boy next to her turned around and looked at him questioningly. Harry walked up to them and held out his hand. "Hi, i'm Harry. Need any help finding that toad of yours?"

And that's how Harry made some good friends on his first day at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
