Chapter 19: Fear

Kid and I blink at each other as a sign to end the conversation. Liz frowns, "Mom, what are you waiting for? Kill them!" Ivy smirks, "I was going to give them two days, but the sooner the better." That's when two giant knives point toward Kid and I. I look over at Kid. He didn't seem scared at all. Is it because he is a Grim Reaper?

..Wait a second, Kid was looking at Jake.

Everything seemed to be in slow motion. I could see the knives going toward us. I look at over at Jake. He was looking at Kid! Are they like having a gay moment? Honestly this really isn't the time!

That's when it happened.

"JAKE! NOW!" Kid yelled. Everything returned to it's normal pace as Jake jumps up and punches Liz. He knocks her down and he takes a knife and puts it straight in front of Liz's chest. Right above her heart. The knives freeze in place right when one is about to cut my neck. I can feel the cold metal on my skin.

Ivy glares at Jake, "Get away from her, stupid boy." Jake shakes his head. "Not until you let them go!" Ivy frowns, right when she was about to respond, Kid took the edge of his foot and made her trip. Okay, I'm going to be honest, this was the funniest thing EVER! But that is not the point.

All of the knives in the room fell and a Kid immediately got up and untied the ropes that held us to the wall. Ivy, who was still trying to focus, looked at us and her eyes widened.

~Ivy's P.O.V~

Fear.

Why am I suddenly afraid?!? These are three stupid little kids, they don't stand a-

I was slammed into the wall by the Grim Reaper.

Come on, I need to focus. Why can't I move whenever this guy fights me?!?

Kid kept fighting Ivy, "Jake, get away from Liz and help Blake!" Jake runs over to almost tripping over all the knives on the floor. Jake looks at me in fear. "B-Blake, you're completely pale." I try to smile, "Hey, don't worry, it's just lack of blood." Jake gives me that, "JUST, lack of blood?" look. I look into his eyes, "I still want to fight." Jakes sighs. "Not so fast." Liz says. She kicks me and I fall back down. "Hey!" Jake says as he brings his fist up. I look at Jake, "No, go help Kid, I'll take care of this." Hesitating a little, Jake nods and helps Kid fight Ivy.

Liz stares at me, smirking. I'm just lying there pale as a white crayon. I don't know how I'm going to do this, but I know that I'm not going to let Liz get in the way of my life anymore. I manage to get a grin on my face, "What are you waiting for? Are you scared?"
