Day 3

Friendships. You know the great thing about a friendship? The bond you make with a person who understands you, feels you, and loves you. I have friends, school friends, soccer teammates, and family friends. Lots of them.

I met this boy in the fifth grade, well technically the fourth grade when he visited our school. In the fifth grade, he came to our school and I felt like being welcome and being his friend. We became the best of friends, and couldn't be any closer. By the time sixth grade came, we knew everything about each other and we were closer than anyone in the grade. Time flew by and our conversations got deeper, and the topics became stranger as hormones developed. Secrets exposed, lies became truths, and words became stronger. Soon I taught him things he never knew, he taught me the things that I have never known, and so much more. Months passed, and so did our friendship. New year, new us. Our texting had stopped, our talking had stopped. It was like our lives froze. Weeks went by and we never spoke. It was like we never knew both of us existed.  We would see each other in the halls and not even acknowledge each other. It made me want to cry. And when we were in situations that included the both of us, we never looked at each other. Every while we'd glance at each other. Does he even know we had a bond?

On the other hand, the girls I used to be friends with, also known as the girls who became Barbie dolls, became the biggest brats I had ever met. Isn't it funny how you have good friends until they become the biggest brats you have ever met.
