"I am so sorry," the guy said bending down to help me pick up my books and papers.

"No it's fine," I said, frantically picking up my papers before they got dirty. "I should've watched where I was going."
I reached for my journal and was met by his hand, I quickly pulled my hand back and looked up at him.

A piece of his dark brown hair fell into his eyes.
"Oh, sorry.." He said, his blue eyes meeting mine.
He tucked the strand of loose brown behind his ear.

I quickly looked down and went back to picking up my things while I felt his blue eyes still on me.

"I gotta go but, thank you so much," I said and quickly walked away.
"Not a problem," I heard him say quietly.

I looked back and he was still standing there, his eyes following me as I left.

"I am so sorry I'm late!" I said running into the classroom and taking seat in the circle.

"It fine," The President of the Latin club, Eli said in a sarcastic tone. "It's not like you're Vice President.."

"Mr. President, why so cranky?" I said sweetly, trying to lighten the mood.

"Well now I guess we can get started now that Ava has graced us with her wonderful presence," Eli said rolling his eyes and trying to hide a smile.

Time seemed to whiz by through Latin club, then Greek club, then my Math Lab.
My mind wandered to the blue eyed stranger in the quad.

The way he kept staring at me as I walked away. His brown hair blowing in the wind and then to his eyes. So blue I could get lost in the...

"Ms. Waters, hello?" I heard pulling me out of my trance. "Would you like to join us?" My creative writer professor, Dr. Brown said pointing at the prompt on the board.

"Yeah, sorry," I said quickly as I began copying the prompt onto my paper and writing.

Class ended exactly 50 minutes later and it took me 15 minutes to walk back to my apartment.
I plopped down on my bed with a sigh, shoving my face into the pillows.

"Ava?" I heard my roommate Chloe call from her room. "I know you just got home but, there's a Sociology study group for the Midterm at 8 at Common Grounds and we're gonna need your notes." She said as she popped her head in my room.

I groaned into my pillow.

Chloe walked into my room and laid down with me on the bed, her dirty blonde hair grazing my shoulder.
"Sooooo, how was your day?" Chloe practically sang, poking my stomach with her light pink polished nail.

"Same as always, super busy, " I said with a sigh.
"I swear you do everything on this campus and it you still make straight A's, how do you do it?!" She whined into my shoulder, she grabbed a blue pillow from behind my head.

"Totally not true, I got a B on my last Chemistry quiz," I said with a smirk.

"Oh my, you got a B on a quiz, what will we ever do?" She said dramatically clutching her chest.

"Shut up!" I laughed and hurled a pillow at her head. "From the mood you're in, it sounds like your day was pretty great, then?"

"Well I went to class and of course got a C on my French paper because I'm not perfect like you and then...I hung out with Bryan." She said playing with the fringe on pillow in her hand.

"Oooooooo," I quickly sat up and nudged Chloes arm. "Are things with you and Bryan getting serious?"

"No, we are just friends.. " She said with a smile.
"If you were just friends, you wouldn't be smiling like that," I teased.
" I don't know, I like him but, I don't know." She said with a frustrated sigh.

"Well you have some time to figure it out, are you hungry?" I asked rolling of the bed and catching balance trying not to hit the floor.

"She cooks too, is there nothing she can't do?" Chloe said in an announcer voice. "If you had a boyfriend he would LOVE you."

"We both know thats not gonna happen, I have too much on my plate." I said rolling my eyes.

"I know but it doesn't hurt to have some meat with those potatoes," Chloe said with a wink as she slapped my butt.

"Eww, what the heck, Chloe," I said punching her in the gut
"Hey, all I'm saying is that it doesn't hurt to be a carnivore," she teased, laughing.

"We will have flying cars before I ever get a boyfriend," I said.

"Well, you never know we're in college so, anything can happen," Chloe sang as she skipped out of my room.
