Do it for science!

"Captain shorty!" Hanji screamed in Levi's ear waking him up.
"What do you want shitty glasses and I am not short." Levi said as he glared at the crazy scientist.
"We need to sail straight away." Haji said with a determined look on he face.
"Why do we need to sail so soon, we are supposed to leave in three weeks." Levi said cleaning up the mess that Hanji made on the way in his room.
"But captain it's the perfect time for mermaids to be out there." Hanji said with a pleading expression, hoping the captain would let them go find the mermaids.
"How high are you? Mermaids? Those are mythical creatures from fairy tales and legends about the sea. They don't exist." Levi said with his usually straight face. Although felt an urge to laugh at the fact that the best scientist believed in mermaids.
"But what if they do actually exist?" Hanji said.
"Well then good for them. They managed to exist in an ocean for of pollution and danger. But if they dont exist then we are going to sea for literally no reason." Levi stated.
"How about a bet. If there are no mermaids out there then I pay you $100 and I'll leave you alone for a month. If they do exist you have to admit you were wrong and let me expiriment on it." Hanji said with a crazy look in her eye.

Levi had to think for a minute. Is the month and $100 worth going to sea for the crazy scientist. To find mermaids, creatures lost in fairy tales and children's books.

"Make it two months you leave me alone and it's a deal." Levi said as Hanji literallt started jumping for joy.

"Calm down shitty glasses. Now go get my crew and prepare to sail." Levi said. He hoped that there was nothing to be found because it would be nice to not have shitty glasses contantly talking to him. But at the same time he wanted to find something so that this voyage wouldn't be a waste of time and effort.

"Eren come back!" Armin shouted at his beat friend.
"But Armin the surface of the water is beautiful at sunset." Eren explained swimming up to the surface.
"But what if a sailor sees you. And what would Mikasa think." Armin said hoping his friend would stop being so reckless.
"What Mikasa doesn't know won't kill her. Also there are literally no boats anywhere near here." Eren said continuing upwards.
"Fine. But if something happens we leave immediately and tell Mikasa." Armin reasoned never being able to turn down his friend.
"Yay. Let's go!" Eren said in exitment swimming ahead of Armin, quickly travelling to the surface of the water.

Once Eren reached the surface he breathed in the air. He always loved the breeze on top of the water. As Armin joined him the two looked at the sunset together.

"LEVI LOOK!" The two mermen quickly turned around seeing a ship very close to them.

How did they get there so soon. Eren thought in his head.

"Eren lets go NOW!" Armin said before diving underwater.

Eren was about to follow him but he felt trapped. He had been caught in a fishing net.

Eren's POV

Wow this is degrading. I am not a fish. Why am I in a fish net. Ugg I should have just listened to Armin. I stared at the sea knowing that Armin was getting Mikasa right now. We lived together ever since my parents died. Mikasa is my adopted sister and Armin is my best friend.

I was torn from my thoughts as my body was tossed on to the deck of the ship. Ow can they be more careful, that hurt.

"Fine shitty glasses i was wrong." a short guy with black hair and a swird said.

"Yes I am so happy. I have a mermaid. I have a mermaid." said someone in a lab coat.

Who do they think they are. I am a merman thank you very much assholes. I glared at them hoping that they would set me free. If I start singing I could hypnotize them and Mikasa would be able to hear me.

What if. What if we run away. What if. What if we left today. What if we said goodbye to safe and sound.

I looked over expecting to see them all in a trance. But that one short guy wasn't in one. What but thats literally impossible. Every human falls in a trance when a siren starts singing. Its always worked for me. Being part mermaid and part siren, people always fell under the spell. The only people who didn't fall under were other mermaids, sirens, and the mate of the person singing.

But that's impossible he is human. Ugg. Fall under my trance you short asshole. I thought to myself as i continued singing.

"Okay thats enough you stupid fish. Shut the hell up you're turning my crew into zombies." The short guy said as he held a sword to my neck.

I stopped singing. Please Mikasa, Armin, someone come save me.

"EREN! LET GO OF HIM YOU BASTARD!" Mikasa screamed once she reached the surface.

I looked at the short guy as i noticed people preparing the net. I used all my strength to push off the short guy to warn my sister.

"MIKASA RUN! I'LL BE FINE JUST GO BEFORE THEY GET YOU!" I screamed hoping she would leave.

"BUT EREN-" I cut her off.

"GO" I shout looking at Armin with hope in my eyes.

As if he could tell what i meant he dragged Mikasa away before she could get caught.

I breathed a sigh of relief, but it didn't last long.

"So you can talk fish boy." Short man said as he held the sword to my neck again.

I just continued to glare at him.

"Hanji take the fish to the tank." He commanded.

"Okay Levi."

Levi.... So that's his name.

I hope you enjoyed my first chapter. I know i suck at writing but i really love ereri merman books so i thought I would wright one. 😀
