Meliodas POV

Gowther, I whispered, the princess is severely injured and I need some medical help soon. Didn't   you disguise yourself as that famous doctor a few years ago- and you led a class? Do you know how to help head injuries?

He nodded.

"Can I see your mother?" Gowther asked.

"Yes....please!" I begged. Kyoto looked at me with an odd smile, and I slightly backed away. I brought Gowther into the room, and he watched Elizabeth lie on the soft bed like a worn-out stuffed-animal. He pushed up his glasses. He reached for her head- but I grabbed his wrist.

"Please...please save my princess...." I cried in a quiet voice. Gowther gave me his little sparkly "Okay!" and lifted up her head.

"Yes, severely bruised, and--- one of the bones in her spine is fractured. She's not dead, but she's in extreme pain." Gowther examined. "I'll give her this---" He picked up a little tube of white liquid out of his purse and poured it into Elizabeth's mouth. His face got closer and closer to Elizabeth's..........

"Stop it!" I said as I pushed Gowther away with my fist in his stomach. I was so uncomfortable- he was so close to her- and it was I who swore to protect her. Why can't I do anything?! I sat down at the foot of the bed and looked at Elizabeth's closed eyes. I wanted to see her effervescent smile again. I wanted to hear her call my name in that cooing tone again. I missed her, and she was right in front of me. It's all my fault----

Gowther POV

Captain slapped himself. He felt guilty for this happening. In a way, it was his fault. He dragged her into this mess and she has to pay for it by a severe head and back injury. Or, he was jealous of me getting closer to Elizabeth. I changed from my disguise into my everyday outfit, and seized to continue to cast the spell on Kyoto.

I don't understand "love". It's a worthless emotion. You don't gain anything from it- except pleasure, an emotion I am not capable of. I'd never imagine the Captain falling for such a person of high status. He's such a little troublemaker- and always has been. Maybe I can try having "love" sometime.

Narrator POV

Meliodas and Gowther heard loud pounding footsteps coming from the east. To their surprise, Kyoto stepped into the room, but Gowther was no longer wearing his disguise. "Who...." He stuttered. Meliodas blushed and Gowther remained displaying his monotone stare. With one flick of his finger, Gowther snapped a tiny bolt of lightning into Kyoto's neck.

"Now," he muttered, "ILLUSION!"

Kyoto wondered around the room like a drunken bear murmuring incoherent words.

"Looks like that took care of him. Easy." Gowther commented.

Meliodas nodded. However, he wondered, How are we going to get out of this situation?

To Meliodas' surprise, a giant hand reached through the open window and grabbed Elizabeth. "Don't worry, Captain! We're here to rescue you and Elizabeth!" Diane called. It was her footprints Meliodas and Gowther had heard before. King and Ban followed after her, Ban picking up Gowther and King grabbing Elizabeth. Meliodas hopped out of the now gaping hole in the bedroom wall and sprinted up onto the pig.

His face turned back to its pinkish tint as he screamed,

"Don't worry Danafall! I'm going to save your princess!"
