As the oceans rise and the bright blue sky turns gray
As every inch of green in this world fades away
Will you look to us and tell us it's okay?
Because your pocket's full, but ours has lost it's weight?
As our friends and allies turn their backs on us
As our neighbors look upon us in disgust
Will you say that our land is so very great?
After replacing all our love with bitter hate?
With our massive protests banging at your door
As equality lies dead upon the floor
Will you still be far too blinded to see?
Will you still turn back masses wishing to be free?
As you watch us from upon a golden throne
As this land we love is torn down to the bone
Will you still say that you're helping us do well?
When the only one you're helping is yourself?
