Diversion

Chapter 1

"Leave me alone." she demanded as she closed her sketchbook and felt his cold breath in her neck.

She knew it was him, not because they were the only ones that came here, on top of the school, but because she felt his presence. His smell and the sounds his feet made while he walked towards her, she could imagine the way his hand went through his hair as he came closer.

"I'm not asking you again, Aeron." The boy wasn't planning on leaving her alone when he slowly walked around her and stopped when his face was so close to hers she could see herself in his sharp green eyes. She felt the ground beneath her disappear as she tried to look away and break their bond.

"He told you not to use dirty tricks like that on me, what makes you think you don't have to listen?"

The boy stroke his hand through his hair and smiled softly, as soon as he stopped looking she was able to breathe again and felt her feet were able to move again "What makes you think I ever really listen to what anyone has to say?" He said laughing and looked down

"I thought you would have more respect for him though, but I guess I'm wrong. You're just as pathetic and weak like all the others. Why don't you just leave right away?"

"Because" He said while looking into her eyes again, but more serious this time "I have a job to fulfil. Not for you. Not for him. But for myself, and only myself." He brought his hand to her chin making her look into his eyes too. "You know that."

She looked at him, angrily. "Selfish and stubborn." she said and closed her eyes.

"I think.." He said "The meaning of selfish is right in front of me now, isn't it?"

She freed herself form his grip when she heard the school bell. "Gotta run." she said as she started to walk away fast.

"Difficult" the boy whispered, slowly walking the way the girl went.
