talks by a lost lake.

The floor beneath me gave way and my eyes widen as the sight of Savannah sprinting towards me. It felt like slow motion her hair bouncing towards me and she ran as fast as her delicate feet could. Little did my stupid ass brain realise I was falling into cold lake water. My toes; clothed in my shoes touched the tip of the water as I shut my eyes scrunching up in a fetus version Daisy. Suddenly, I felt my body freeze. I was confused and looked upwards to see Sav holding me as hard as she could. Her face was turning red as she was using her whole body to carry me. I un-scrunch and start to pull upwards with her help. I heave my body onto the now slightly broken pier. I flick my shoes and take them off as they are creating my feet to shiver. 

I sit on the pier extremely confused of what just happened. I look over and Savannah and mutter "t-thanks", blushing. She glances over still a little breathless and replies "that's ok, are you all right?". I nod still anxious about opening my mouth to release stuttered up dumb words.  I peek at Sav and ask "W-why are you h-here?" still puzzled that shes here. She glimpses over and says "well, I always see you rush off at the end of school to nowhere, but now i know" she giggles, "but you also forgot another of your drawing as you whizzed off, so I decided to follow you to give it back, but when I saw you the floor looked like it was about to break. You know, I come here sometimes?" she smiles, with that gorgeous smile she always has. Her radiant green-blue turquoise eyes reflect off the still lake. She hands me the drawing, I smile shyly and take it off her. "Sorry, I always am c-clumsy and have stuff f-fall out" I pause then take in what she just said. "Wait...You come here sometimes? I-I thought I was the only one who knew about here and came h-here". She laughs, "ha I guess not then, now you know. Yeah only occasionally, but it's such a beautiful place here." Her voice is so gentle, I could listen to it for days.

We sit in silence for a minute or two taking in the surroundings. I brain was messing up over the fact I was sitting next to Savannah, talking to her, she followed me to hand me something of mine and now sitting next to her. "I suppose I should be off, thanks again for my drawing". She does a kind of puppy frown, it looks so adorable on her face. "Oh...Don't leave. Look at the sun it will set soon, just wait till it goes down with me?". I blush and my eyes widen I try to hide it, but she giggles and it doesn't really work. I couldn't believe my ears, she wanted me to stay with her for a while, what was going on?! "Uh-Uh, yeah i guess a few more minutes won't harm.  I go over to sit back down next to her, my face feels like it's on fire all over. We watch the ball of orange with a painted lilac and pink sky background slowly creep down.

We start to talk about ourselves a little more, hobbies, lives, friends. We share our left over sweets we can get from the schools 'sweet shack'. She then brings up"how do you draw like that, Daisy? They are honesty incredible!". I would't call them 'incredible' I thought but I will take the compliment. "T-thanks very much". I pause not really knowing how to speak to people other than Delvin, Summer and Noah. "I might come back and fix this plank soon". 

"Yeah, you should! I would be happy to help".

"Yeah, sure, if you want" I blush again a little. God dammit why do I blush so much. 

The sun begins to close down and the moon comes out to give the night a touch of a white light. "Thanks for everything again, Savannah. I really enjoyed tonight."

"It was fine! Thanks you too. So did I. It was great to get to know you more." We look at each other one final time. Wave and give gifted smiles, then part our separate ways, walking into the blue moonlight. I smile with pure happiness written over my face.

 I glance back around one last time to see the same thing.
