Chapter 49: Adam's Mom

The next day, My eyes felt really tired. I didn't know why I kept on crying during dawn but the good thing is, I eventually slept...

"Nadz." I heard a voice called.

"Hmmm?" I sleepily said.

"It's almost eight am and Adam's waiting at the living room." Ara said.

I immediately woke up and checked my phone which was laying down by the bedside table.

"Sorry. I overslept!" I said rubbing my eyes.

"It's fine." She says. She gestured me to immediately go to the comfort room so I did.

I washed up my face and brushed my hair.

"Damn, you failed, Nadine!" I said to myself looking at my reflection.

I wore my fenty slippers and immediately went down.

"Goodmorning, Adam!" I said smiling and I kissed him by the cheeks.

"Morning, love." He says and gave me a plate of waffles with chocolate syrup and strawberries.

"Yay! Thank youuu!" I said hugging him.

"I overslept and I didn't switch my alarm on." I explained.

"It's okay. I understand that you're really tired these past days." He said sweetly.

One thing I like about him so much is that he understands and fully supports the things I do.

"Magpapaalam ako kay James at sa Aunt niya today... Hopefully he'll accept me a day off today." I said.

"Oh, right! You'll help me with the bar." He said eating a slice from his waffle.

"He should accept it! I'll fucking kick his ass if he doesn't." He says madly.

"Language, Adam!" I said laughing.

"Boyfriend duties to kick your ex." He said shrugging.

"Stop na." I said smiling.

We ate and talked a lot. After, I quickly prepared myself for the day. I only dressed simply for today.

"I'll just wait in a nearby cafe so I won't park so far. Is that fine?" He asked.

"Oo naman! Magpapaalam ako kaya baka saglit lang 'iyon." I said at ease.

"Okay. I'll see you, love." He said and gave me a kiss. I nodded and waved.

I breathed and started walking inside the building. Hindi naman gaano kalaki at katangkad ang building na ito pero...

"Goodmorning Ma'am!" The polite staff started to greet.

I smiled at them and passed by. I quickly went inside the elevator where there were only a few people inside and I clicked the floor button I was going to.

"Kaya mo to'." I said proudly and walked outside when I arrived.

Bago makarating sa main office ay may glass door kaya binuksan ko 'iyon. People started to stare at me weirdly and in a confusing way. I heard murmurs.

I felt scared. What's happening?

"Oh there goes the bitch." Sabi ni Zoe papalapit sa akin.

"What the hell? Ikaw pa ang nagsasabi niyan?" I said looking at her from head to toe.

Where is she going? She's wearing a very fitted dress that was so revealing! Saan ang punta nito? Isn't she aware of the dress code of a company? Corporate Clothes! Professional looking! Damn this girl, so freaking crazy.
