The Break

*December 18, 1968*

~bell rings~
"Class you are dismissed have a good break"

The teacher tells us as we walk out the class for winter break.

"So what are you gonna do over this break?" I asked one of my friends, Jacob

"Well, my family and I are traveling to Washington to spend some time with the rest of our family for Christmas and New year's!" He tells us right before he opens his locker

"And ty, what are you gonna do over the break?" I asked my best friend tymere.

"Nun bro, im just staying home and chillin"

"Yeah me too.. hey man I'll catch you later I gotta get on my bus" I told tymere as im walking to the bus ramp

"Alright later man"

I get home and I instantly turn on the television and watch whatever's on. Usually just the news or something. As im watching the television, I think about what I should do over the break.

"Hmm.. I guess I can hang out with ty, since he isn't doing anything also."

I get up and walk over to the telephone and I call tymere to ask if he wants to hang out.

*Dialing...*

"Hey man you wanna come over and hang out over the break?"

"Yeah bro when you want me to come over?" Tymere asked me

"I guess around five o'clock tomorrow" I told tymere

"Alright bye bro"
*Hangs up*

I walk back to the television set and I change the channel to the news.

~*early this morning a murder has happened by what they call 'the zodiac killer'. We still don't have any identification on who this serial killer is, but all we know is he approxametly 35-45 years of age, possibly short, 5'8" was real heavy set, beefy build... not blubbery fat, but real beefy, possibly 195 to 200 pounds or maybe even larger... short curly hair, light brown almost blond... with a large face. Keep a look out and if you see anything suspicious.. call the authorities immediately*~

Whenever I listened to the news channel my heart was pumping hard.... I can't believe a murderer is loose in the city I live in... I gotta tell ty.....
