The Beginning

I gazed upon the stars from my window.  They are pretty, unless your parents are fighting downstairs.  I listened to the shouts and yelling.

It hurt me alot, I love both of them.  Well I used to, but after they began fighting and drinking, they began abusing me.  I don't know why, but they started smacking me and throwing things at me, and yelling at me if I didn't do anything.

I couldn't take it anymore, I began to pack up my things.  I grabbed my school backpack, and began packing.

I packed water, snacks that I hid in my room, my whole allowance I've been saving which was around 400 dollars.

After packing my essential needs of food and supplies, I made sure to grab some clothes.  I got all my stuff and opened my window, I had a tree just outside my window so I could climb through my window, onto the tree and onto the ground.

I stretched my leg over the window sill and climbed onto it.  Then I took the jump and grabbed onto the closest branch of the tree.

I pulled myself onto the branch and scooted down it.  I made it to the base of the tree and slipped down to a lower branch, I jumped off the low branch and onto the ground.

I then began to run, I love running.  Even if I must get away from my parents, I then grabbed my phone that I had the whole time with my headphones.  I had my laptop in my backpack as well.   I should be good for a week on food and water.  With my money I'll buy an apartment, I'm 17, not yet old enough to live on my own.  Wait, HA!  I'll ask my friend Michelle if I can stay with her!

I went to contacts and opened Michelle's contact up.  I pressed call then pressed the phone against my ear.  I walked through the well-lit city streets.  Suddenly a voice rang through my ear, "Hello?"  Asked the voice.  "Hey Michelle," I replied, "Hey Kadence, what's up?" She asked.  "Not much, I ran away from home and I'm wondering if I can come live with you for awhile?" I asked.  Michelle soon replied, "Sure thing," She replied.

"Thanks Michelle, I'll be there soon." I said into the phone before hanging up.  I'll go pick up a blanket and a pillow and head to Michelle's place.

I soon got to Michelle's house.  She already lived on her own in an apartment.  She had met me out front  and lead me to her apartment.  It was luxury so it was super big.  Michelle lead me to her guest room and I got comfy.

I sighed and plopped onto the bed.  I'll change my name to Kyro. ...I like that name.....
