The Year of a Bully

My name is Alexandra, but people call me either Alex or Lexie or sometimes Ally. I am 13 years old and I'm in Middle School. I go to a Catholic School though, so it's kinda different. I am abused by bullies ever since I was in 2nd grade. From your "I hate you" to "She's such a 'Bee-otch'!" I've had girls and boys say stuff to me. Like this one time -this year as a matter a fact- I was singing a solo in the Annual Christmas Concert in Church. It was me and 2 other girls from my class. I was NERVOUS! Even during practice, I just kept messing up. It annoyed me because I practiced at home and did it perfectly! I just kept swallowing and shaking and stopping short. I could tell that I was bothering my music teacher and I felt that the teachers may have pitied me.

It was the night of the show, I sang and did it perfectly! I didn't swallow or stop short, even though I was shaking. I still wasn't sure of my performance, so I asked my friend Nicole if I sounded alright. She said I did it perfectly. She even asked a boy in my class which was a big mistake to ask. She asked him if he thought I sounded great. Well, he said, "Whatever you want to hear!" Right in front of me, and looking at me, like I sounded like I choking on an apple. I was so mad and upset. My mom also took a video, I watched it, and cried because I thought I did bad.

Once I went to a school event called the "Pasta Dinner." I wore a plaid shirt, what's so bad with that?! I walked into the cafeteria and when my parents went to sit down I went over to my so called "friends." One boy looks at me and says, "Oh my gosh Alexandra! Why are you wearing your dad's shirt!?" I was so mad and humiliated.

I've also had girls mean to me, too, though. Once in 2nd grade, I'll never forget it, me and "the new girl" were having a conversation, ( I don't remember what THAT was about....) and she says to me, "You know, you're NEVER going to have any friends in high school if you keep up with this attitude!" I was like, huh?! I told a bunch of people that day and they all said that she will be the one to not have any friends if she says that to people.
